William Spear, MD

Dr Spear was truly a God send. His staff always schedules and treats me with courtesy. I had a cardiac ablation in 2013 and yearly I schedule check ups without issue resulting in a clean bill of health . I jog and do all sorts of physical activities after suffering a stroke in 2012. I thank God for endowing this man with skill and wisdom to solve such conditions like afib. Sadly a post stated that less than professional care was given in the area of scheduling and that is unfortunate, however I must be a lucky black man because since 2012 when I scheduled my first meeting til this day I have recieved only the best.

Dr spear placed an ICD in me September 29, 2021. told me that I would have a better quality of life, more so than what I had. Had my two week follow up. My next appointment was for December 16, 2021. I Had to cancel, was given another for latter part of January. l called and left a message to see if I could come in sooner, never got a call back until day before the appointment. It was to reschedule for February 24th at 3:15. Waited until 4:45 before I left before seeing Dr. Spear. I wonder if I was not an African American would I have been treated in this manner. And let me add please do not be concerned and ask questions about your health or you will be told you're suffering from anxiety. Once the device was inserted, I was treated horribly.

Waited on hold over 30 minutes after mult attempts/days of waiting 7 min before call dropped. Had to reschedule an appointment they cancelled the day before after waiting months only to reschedule another 3 months away. Hope my 92 year old mom is able to make the appointment?! The worst part is trying to get the waiting music out of my head

I think Dr. Spear is a great Doctor. He always listens to my concerns. I don't feel like just another number.
