Patient Reviews

Patient

I've been a patient of dr. Anshu Raj going back to her private practice & confused under her care at St Francis. She has been the most conscientious and attentive doctor for me In my experience. Responsive to questions and Takes the time needed to explain things. The best.

Dr. Raj is a very caring physician. She's informed on the most current procedures and recommends the best care for your individual needs.

The admistrative support staff were personable, competent, and without seeming to hurry or chivvy me along, had my intake sorted in no time at all. Dr. Raj was her usual cultured and perspicatious self: of all the doctors I have ever had, she is by _far_ the best at active listening and using patient feedback to guide her diagnoses. Finally, the nurse (practioner?) who administered my shingles shot was very good at minimizing my discomfort, both with the physical jab and with her warm and empathic distracting patter while doing so. I highly recommend Dr. Raj's practice to anyone who is tired of physicians defaulting to docsplain rather than actually listen to what the patient says.

Amita Health Care does not like reviews that I posted ask me to take them down which I obliged to but I'm not going to I'll identify myself because they said I've made too many reviews on the too many emails would suggest different people are making these reviews my name is posted at the end of this review I had a very bad experience with one of Amitas doctors Nicole Malek and I spoke with HOPE about it and tried to solve my concerns I was then directed by another one of my doctors to Anshu Raj as a new primary care doctor. One of my other doctors recommended her also and so did HOPE( director of nursing)that I had a conversation with her about Nicole. well today I met Dr.Raj her assistant was very nice. When Raj walked in she had this air of arrogance and asked why I was there I told her my story and she was very standoffish and cold( I guess that's the new professionalism) I was there to get a new primary care doctor. Not at all concerned about my chronic pain from arthritis and several back surgeries. she decided that she wanted to cut back 50% on my medication I was taking. We discussed it I told her I've been through pain management Doctors and having acupuncture so on and so on various Pain medications. and with my last "GREAT" Dr. Celia Lipinski we had worked out what worked for me. She (Raj) made a comment Unworthy of One Professional against another about Lipinski. I said she retired and she said she didn't retire and her comment led me to believe that she was fired. After discussing my medications and wanting to get a new script she basically refused I asked her one more time to let's go to the way Lipinski was prescribing medications and she said to me if she prescribed medications twice a month she can lose her license because they were acetaminophen. I replied that Lipenski didn't lose her license and the pain medication prescriptions worked for me she got up and said I'm the doctor basically bullying me to the point where I felt threatened and I got up and left. this is my experience and my experience only. read the other two 1 Stars reviews my suggestion leave Amita health care. Find a doctor that is concerned about their patients and the pain they're in. I will be contacting HOPE who is the director of nurses at Amita Health Care to bring this up. I referred to dr. Malik as a "HACK" and so is Dr.raj "in my opinion" Is one also. I'm sure they will read this if they want to contact me fine I will go toe-to-toe with her. my only regret is when I had my appointment with Malak I requested a third-party be in the room to witness The Exchange. I did not do that this time because I was told I could trust her "she had a great bedside manner" she may have a great bedside manner but her office manner sucks. Paul Pericles
