very bad experience, i set up my prenatal appointment before christmas for jan 14. and just 20 minutes before i got a call saying they cannot take any new patients, i was in my car on my way for the appointment. nobody took the responsibility and the management did not bother to talk to me. if they could not take new patients they should not have approved me for my appointment. then i asked who takes responsibility, i was told it was not me who scheduled your appointment. so i asked how are you calling me then and how do you have my number. they said doctors are short staffed, they should have told me earlier, not 20 minutes before my appointment when they had 3 weeks time to let me know.

Perhaps the focus should be less about impressing Elmhurst with a fancy new building and more about having doctors provide quality health care. Probably not a bad idea to teach your staff the definitions of respect, integrity, and the rest of your mission statement either. Oh and billing is a joke, it still shows my double billIng was declined after I had to have my insurance call. And good luck trying to get any records sent over, after almost a week of both myself and the other office calling, we're still not sure where the requested documents are.

I'm reading other people's comments and I'm confused. I have had no problems at all. I go through Elmhurst clinic along with my son, and my daughter, and my mother. We all have gone to Elmhurst for years (since I was a child) and whether it was for a Dr. visit or when I had to stay for five days, or have my children. I thought the staff was wonderful!!!!! I was treated respectfully and I felt they really cared. I just have nothing bad to say about Elmhurst hospital/clinics.... that's all I'm saying
I have been to other hospitals etc. and I can't even express the type of service that I've had. Blew my mind....that's a whole different story and these were from supposedly "Big Deal Hospitals" . I will just mention Southern Hills Hospital in LasVegas......I do not advise ever going there, that's just my view.

So, we love our doctor here. That's the end of what's to like. "You have to come on time for your appointment" per the receptionist with attitude looking through the grocery sale pages. But you sit and wait for the physician for at LEAST 2 hours to be seen. And if you ask how long it will be, the rude receptionist will tell you that that information is not to be given to patients/family members per doctors' orders. Most other clinics have revised their policies about running late. I think we will switch our care to one of those.

Horror stories here are true - I second what @Jimmy Vonesh wrote in his review. It's easy to understand why - recently the whole Elmurst Edward system is going through round of financial problems and they are now double billing for everything. They invent new charges like blank laboratory $300 charge for almost any PCP visit. If you can, stay away or switch to other group.
I feel sorry for doctors that work there because most of them are good doctors. But there is now huge stress factor. Lots of staff got fired in latest rounds of layoffs. I have been patient for over 3 years, but no more - I'll avoid Elmhurst Edward clinics as much as I can.
Edit: Regarding "response from owner" shown below this review: I've contacted them on email provided and am yet to receive any response. I would love if they were as vigilant in private as they pretend to be in public. Over past few months I've tried several times to reach them through MyChart, emails, phone calls... and if I do reach someone it's entry-level clerk who responds with "we'll call you back"... and then they never do. Well, at least leadership of Edward-Elmhurst is lining their pockets with millions of $$$, customer service doesn't mean much as long as you can keep overcharging your patients and their insurance.
