Sorrentino Matthew J MD

I previously had a great initial experience with Dr. Sorrentino a few years ago. I didn't need anything done at that point, just a checkup with my family history. In my follow-up visit today he was just as amazing--a super kind and considerate specialist MD with a wealth of knowledge. He doesn't talk at you, he talks with you, and without being esoteric gives a high level of detail and technical description. He's also reassuring and spends time with you to be thorough. I highly recommend him, and based on his credentials and practice I am thinking he is one of the best in the country, though he comes across very humble. Plus he's also a runner--a fitting hobby for a cardiologist!

I would highly recommend Dr Sorrentino - he is one of the most patient and considerate doctors I have ever come across and I don't say this lightly. He is extremely professional , explains everything very thoroughly , is an excellent listener, recommended best treatment options and was so kind enough to reply to multiple questions I asked on my chart while I was in ER and admitted recently and also helped complete lengthy paperwork for my job in a timely manner. He's the best and I would give him more than 10 stars if I could!!

Dr. Sorrentino is amazing. He is VERY knowledgeable and is a lifesaver. I learned more from talking to him in 20 minutes than I did from talking to other cardiologists for 5 years. He changed my medications and put me on a wonder drug called Repatha. Back in 2015, he diagnosed a cardia arrhythmia and suggested an ablation to stop the afib. He worked with me in developing a treatment plan for coronary artery disease. Additionally, he is a very nice man with an incredible bedside manner. I have referred many people to him over the past 5 years and each of them Absolutely felt that he is an amazing physician. I fail to understand how anyone can say that he isn't knowledgeable. Dr. Sorrentino is one of the best cardiologists in the country.

IMHO one of the best cardiologist in Chicago, and highly rated in the country. Very intelligent, excellent explanations of symptoms, thorough through out. Highly recommended
