Dr. Mugurel V. Bazavan, MD

Dr. Bazavan is a wonderful doctor! He is so patient and kind with my 86 year old mother, who has CHF and other health issues. He helped recognize that she needed oxygen at home and referred her to pulmonology for follow up. He and his staff(nurse Adele) are very responsive to any questions we have and always call back immediately to advise about medication adjustment(both Glenview & Lake Forest). He even fits us in when there's a problem regardless of how full his schedule may be. He is truly exceptional, and we are very grateful to him.

Dr Bazavan is of the old school type of doctor. He orders, you have to tread carefully with questions, Usually he ignores questions. There is no conversation just dictates. He seems also to have a goto procedure which is at the minimum embarassing and IMO iffy as to the results. At least one of his staff is extremely helpful with patients and usually follows through (not all the time). I had a heart attack and he was assigned to me. If I had other choices I would go with someone else. UPDATE: Dr Bazavan is leaving as of 6/30/2019, it wasn't clear to me who was replacing him (hopefully they will be nicer).
