if you go to Dr. Pride, do not expect any service, follow up calls, return calls, or any of the above. Terrible terrible communication you're supposed to be able to leave a message and he will call you back, he never ever calls me back my mother was having problems with her blood pressure medicine couldn't reach her doctor after so many tries she decided to take herself off of it. We are searching for a new doctor. Dr. Pride needs to Retire. He has lost interest in his patients and no longer cares for the elderly. Very selfish of this man to continue this practice, knowing that he's bombarded with computer work that he doesn't either know how to do or want to do, doesn't know how to pick up the telephone. I don't know how old he is, but I would imagine he's close to my mother's age. 90.

I may have shared this previously but I do not remember. This happened many years ago so I am not sure if Dr. Pride is still the same person. My wife and I had been patients for a number of years with no health problems. We were preparing to move into a new home soon we were building in StCharles when I woke up in the middle of the night with my hands feeling like they were on fire. After a trip to the emergency room and a prescription for pain medication and recommended to follow up with primary care physician if needed we went home. After a couple days I felt much better and thought great I'll just get a new primary care doctor when we move in a week. Then on the day we moved my hands were on fire again so I contacted Dr Pride office to get in immediately which they did which was nice. However when I explained what was going on and the fact that we literally just closed on the new house and didn't have a new doctor in StCharles yet and could he provide me with something for the pain and a recommendation for a doctor in StCharles. In front of my 10 years old daughter Dr Pride laughed out loud and said something along the lines of he's not in the habit of providing prescriptions to drug addicts. While I understand that there are people in the world who do go Doctor shopping for drugs, I certainly didn't show the signs of one of those people. The doctor laughed at me in front of our daughter. My point is once I saw a doctor in StCharles, and they heard what I described they quickly sent me to xray. Then quickly admitted me to the hospital for an mri so there would be no delay. Between seeing the first doctor in StCharles and surgery and being in a halo brace was a whole 4 days. Or as both the neurologist and orthopedic spinal surgeon said, they have no idea how I was even walking around with a neck so damaged and likely in such debilitating pain. I now have 2 titanium cages that replaced vertebrae that were disintegrating with a plate and 6 screws in front. All the disks front C3 to T4 have been removed and I have titanium telescoping rods and 20 more screws in the back of my neck. Let all that sink in for a moment. And not once did Dr Pride offer to send me for x-rays or any tests. He simply laughed at me. As I said this was many years ago and maybe he is not the same person. However, nobody should be treated like a criminal or drug addict when at the doctors office seeking help. Ever. This should have NEVER happened. I hope nothing like this has happened to anyone else. And to be fair I'm sure Dr Pride has been a good Dr to many people over the years. But what he did to me should not have happened.

Couldn't get out fast enough. Have moved around a lot so I know what works for me. This was never brought up. He went straight for the most expensive treatments (I'm on a fixed disability income) that I said have never worked for me. After 30 seconds I knew this was a bad situation for me and agreed to everything he said just to get out. Im well aware of the "Opioid epidemic" and many respected doctors have treated me because I have zero red flags on my record which spans over 20 years. Like the President, I feel doctors should reach a certain age before being licensed due to young arrogance. I'm so dissatisfied I'm questioning whether seeing doctors ever again. Not all patients are junkies. Don't treat us this way.
