I had a great experience at the Surgical center this week! I found myself getting a procedure that I was a bit nervous about. Tecia and Keslin greeted me the minute I walked through the doors. Kyle and another nurse anesthesis were fun and treated me so well. Kandis was extremely kind and compassionate when I woke up and she even made me a follow up appointmentwith Dr. Hansen for the next week. Her laugh is contagious. Dr. Dwight Hansen was wonderful and made sure I was informed, comfortable, and warm which was greatly appreciated. The whole experience was wonderful! Your medical staff was great and represented your facility well!
As a side note..the stretcher I was on was broken and very difficult to work with for the poor nurses. Maybe for Christmas Madison Health should buy a few brand new stretchers/beds for this center. I only mention this because it seemed like they had more than one of these non-conforming stretchers that need to be retired.
Thank you again to all who made my procedure day as great as it could be!

The ER team was initially professional and attentive. My concerns were addressed, an IV was placed, pain medication was administered, and imaging staff were courteous and kind.
After that, there were prolonged periods without updates or instructions, which I understand can occur during busy shifts. While still in significant pain, I was asked multiple times by different nurses whether I needed additional pain medication. Each time I said yes, but no medication or follow-up occurred.
Eventually, I had to use the restroom and was unable to lower the bed's guardrail on my own and getting assistance seemed unlikely. I had to climb over the guardrail while still in a great deal of pain to get out of bed. Upon returning I requested help lowering the guardrail to get back into bed, the staff member who responded appeared irritated. When I asked about updates or next steps, that irritation continued.
At that point, I decided I had annoyed enough people. I got myself dressed and asked for help removing my IV. The nurse who assisted was very kind and kept offering help for the pain because I was shaking. By that point, I had already had that conversation multiple times and could not wait any longer. I was on the lobby floor still shaking while waiting for a ride when the same nurse came out again and offered help. To her credit, she was excellent throughout.

Dr. Wells was amazing! He talked through what he was thinking and helped put my teenage daughter, who was the patient, at ease. The nursing, laboratory and radiology staff were incredible! Each one introduced themselves to my daughter personally and explained step by step what they were doing and why. They talked to her and not me. This simple action helped ease her anxiety and made her feel in control of her care! I would recommend MadisonHealth to anyone looking for quality care with compassion.

Everyone was professional kind and friendly. Rosa was great at getting blood from my veins the first try. My veins can be difficult to work with. All of my nurses were kind and caring. Dr. Evans was also kind caring and professional. For having to be in the hospital, they made is be a pleasant experience.

Rosa was great. I usually require 2-3 pokes. She listened to where I said is the best spot got it quick and easy first shot. As nurses we are always busy. She was busy but very professional.
