Patient Reviews

I've been bringing my 90 year old mother here for her last several appointments. My mom likes Dr. Gorman as a provider, I'm writing this review to talk about the office visit wait experience not his ability. Every time we've been here, we've had to wait at least an hour to even go back to the exam room. Once in the exam room, we wait another 30 minutes or so. I'm sorry, but something here is broken. A person practicing medicine should be able to schedule appointments that not only work for him, but more importantly, work for his patients. It's like only his time matters. Not everyone has time to, or wants to sit and wait, and be at his mercy. This is an extremely bad way to do business. Changes need to be made.

When I first met with doctor Gorman I was first greeted by his nurse which did the normal routine of blood preassure and oxygen levels. I was also asked what medications I was on many of them I hadn't been on "ever "and had to go through them all. Were they retrieved these records is beyond me. At that time I was only asking about a small bruising on one leg to see if it was varicose veins. When dr. Gorman came in he indicated no problem. But offered to send a prescription for ecocardiogram and scheduled it. I also told him of my journey over 2 years of proper diet and exercising 3 times a week and losing 40 pounds and felt very healthy. After completing the ecocardiogram. I had a follow up appointment at 2:00 p.m. I sat there and did not see the room till 4:45 when again the nurse had the wrong information as if he didn't even know who I was. The dr. Arrives in the room at about 4:55 and asked if my feet had been swelling again. I said no. They never were. He acted as if I said nothing and continued to tell me to were compression socks. He then started preaching to me about diet and exercise and in the same breathe saying your heart looks strong and very healthy. After that told me eventually you will need to be put on a Staten. He determined this off of blood tests from a year ago. I told him he's looking and the wrong test results. It seemed at this point he got anxiety and cut my wife off mid sentence and left the room. My question is how do you make a proper analysis of a patients condition if you don't do your proper research. I will continue my journey with jordan hale at root cause for they know the path to a healthy practice. If I need a cardiologist I will look elsewhere.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Gorman for over 10 years. My husband has had serious heart problems that have resulted in a total of four heart stents and one abdominal stent. In addition, he outlived one defibrillator and the second defibrillator was replaced by a pacemaker. He faithfully walks 30 minutes five days a week on a treadmill and at 77 is enjoying his life. Over these many years and several different general practitioners I cannot tell you how many times I have been told that it is a miracle he is alive. Dr. Gorman has been always involved and proactive with us, he diagnosed an arrhythmia of mine and recommended various options but he also prescribed a medication for me to try that made ablation surgery unnecessary. Never once and all those years of providing services to both of us has he been anything but kind and caring. I am sorry for the unfortunate experiences others people have had, but I don't believe them to be the norm. I have recommended other individuals to Dr. Gorman who have had the same positive experiences we've have.

Wait time is reasonable for all the folks they see and problems we know nothing about. Once in things seem to ove pretty fast.

I am so disgusted with Dr Gorman. My aunt was in there and goes occasionally for her own heart issues, as well as most people in my family as we all have hereditary defects.. He brought up some tests that she had done elsewhere for completed unrelated issues, and then used it as an opportunity to bring up the vaccines.. My family is very much "do the research, learn everything there is to know before you make a decision that can potentially effect your health" type of people. And we believe in the right to choose what is best for your own individual circumstances when it comes to your health and your body.. Upon learning that my aunt is choosing to not vaccinate at this time (and will continue to maintain safety precautions - mask, distancing, sanitizing) Dr Gorman proceeded to berate her, degrade her, shame her, and then tell her that if she ends up in the hospital with heart complications to not call him because he would refuse to come, and that if she got sick from covid again to do everyone a favor and stay home and just suffocate.. That is not an exaggeration, that is really what he said.. He had a rough night at the hospital the night before, so I understand having a bad day, and I understand having opposing views.. But to tell your patient that, is so shameful and disappointing. My aunt takes every precaution to keep herself and others safe, she's just choosing to wait on the vaccine because in the research she's done she doesn't feel comfortable and safe with it yet. She's not hurting anyone, she's not judging anyone, she just wants to feel safe and these don't make her feel safe.. Shame on any professional that tells their patient to stay home and suffocate because they don't agree with the choice they make for themselves. Shame on you Dr Gorman.
