My lovely middle age number plus my love of sodium is more than likely what got me a referral to Maui Cardiology and Dr. Muto. LOCATION & ATMOSPHERE: They're no longer on Wakea Avenue, but in a newer facility on Hookele Street across from Target. Parking is limited and tight. The waiting area is small and is sometimes crowded. The 3 different exam rooms I've been in were spacious and clean. PROVIDERS: My consultation was with Dr. Muto. He was very friendly, easy to talk to, and explained everything in detail. To make sure I was healthy as a horse, he scheduled me with 3 future appointments of different tests, all within his clinic. I'm terrible with names, but the male tech who did my ultrasound and treadmill tests was professional, friendly, and made sure I was comfortable through it all. He explained exactly what he was doing and set my mind at ease at the end of the tests with his expert opinion. My most recent follow up, this time with one of the female physician assistants for all my past tests, was top notch as well, and only reassured me of the quality care they provide. SERVICE: The reception staff and nurses have been nothing but great. It all started when my PCP's nurse never got back to me for this referral visit. Calls and voice messages to them went unanswered for 2 weeks. So, I finally called up Maui Cardiology direct, explained what was happening, and without any hesitation, they scheduled me for a consultation with Dr. Muto ASAP, and assured me that they'd phone my PCP. That's some terrific service. OVERALL: Professional staff, top quality care. Highly recommended.
