Great appointment!! Although it took almost a year to get in, it was well worth the wait! The office staff is friendly and professional, and the office is pleasant, open, and spacious. Dr. Snapper....is literally the BEST! He is exceptional at his areas of specialties, which is vast. He's attentive, knowledgeable, gives great, detailed information, and he is a very good listener. He asks questions, does a thorough exam, goes through your medical history, and allows the patient to participate in the process. I left with a better understanding of what brought me to the consultation, several new diagnoses, and a detailed treatment plan. Highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Snapper is a nationally recognized leading expert in POTS. I spent over 18 months bed ridden due to the symptoms of dysautonomia. It took 10 months to be seen, and it was life changing.
Dr. Snapper prescribed saline IV therapy to alleviate the symptoms of my chronic illnesses which I did do 2x week for 7 months. Saline IV therapy is the only treatment that provides blood to my brain & heart. Twice a week IV therapy was not enough to rid me of debilitating migraines, chronic fatigue, resting HR of 91BPM and high BP.
I reached out to Dr.Snapper's nursing staff, including Nurse Anna, for 5 months about my symptoms in order for Dr. Snapper to use his expertise to make a change in my treatment. His nursing staff ignored my chronic illnesses, and told me I would have to wait to talk to Dr. Snapper about my issues. They have ignored my patient rights, and prevented all communication between Dr. Snapper and I.
During my 2nd appointment with Dr. Snapper, he ordered me a medically necessary port to do at home saline IV therapy. Nurse Anna, whom I've never met , has refused for 5 weeks to fill out the referral for my port. This has caused a disruption in care which is preventing the improvement of my health.
As a disabled patient, I contacted my insurance company for assistance. They called Dr Snapper's office asking for the referral in order to treat my chronic illnesses. They were never able to speak to a medical staff member, so my insurance company left a message.
Nurse Anna, whom I've never met has decided to ignore Dr. Snapper's orders and is personally denying my access to care. This shows her disregard for the chronic illnesses that have disabled me and Dr. Howard's authority as my physician.
I have no way of contacting Dr. Snapper or the office manager other than leaving messages on their voicemail system and My Chart. Dr. Snapper is the expert in this field of dysautonomia and the cardiac related symptoms that are experienced by his patients. Nurse Anna has not been a part of my care team nor does she have the authority to make health decisions on my behalf.

We got a phone call a week ago to notify us about this appointment for the first time. When I spoke to the person on the phone, I told them I was confused as we had not made the appointment. I mentioned I would most likely cancel as we already see a POTS specialist in Emory. The person on the phone said that Dr Snapper has a long wait list and that they would keep us on the schedule if we wanted to call our doctor's office in the meantime for more information. Our specialist said that it may be helpful to see more than one specialist for my husband's medical issues. We confirmed the appointment. We came to our appointment today to be told by the front desk that our appointment was canceled... we live almost 2 hours away from this doctor's office and do not have a vehicle to boot. I had to take time off of work and rent a vehicle to come to this appointment only to find out they canceled it on us. I've attached screenshots as proof of our confirmed appointment. All the front desk associate could say was that someone will call me. Her name was Renee, and this is not against her but to basically get a "too bad, so sad, our doctor is a busy guy" is a sorry excuse for a reason on why they can't fix their own mistake.

Everyone knows Dr. Snapper is amazing, he diagnosed my POTS after years of misdiagnoses. Today's follow up visit was amazing too: from our nurse Michael who was kind about my anxiety and helped me find a fidget substitute when she heard I'd forgotten mine, to the nurse practitioner Lakesha, also very kind, thorough, and knowledgeable.

I was so impressed with Dr. Howard Snapper's staff and his bedside manner. The entire team was kind, patient and friendly. The details they provided were very helpful and thorough. He's booked for 8-10 months, I wished we didn't have to wait that long to get the answers we've been looking for but I can say it was worth it. You don't have to tell me that any doctor that is booked that far out is not exhausted and over worked. His demeanor did not display that at all. It's very obvious that he cares about what he's doing.
We have a long way to go but it feels good knowing we have some direction. We've often left doctor still googling information, not this office. We left with a folder, provided by his staff that was filled with all the information we needed. A VERY pleasant stop during a very long journey!
