The last cardiologist I saw, Dr. Irlandez at Wellstar, decided to put me on cholesterol medication without running any tests to determine if I needed it. Dr. Song made sure to look at all my results, and make the extra necessary tests to see if I even needed that medication or something else.
Dr. Song is a very smart and professional cardiologist who I have trusted for many years. But last visit, I saw his PA, and was told that I did not need to see him. I insisted that I see him, because I wanted to follow up with some medication he had given me. In general, I find that the staff there are not very responsive to either phone calls or messages. It has been that way for a long time. Dr. Song said that his office would refill the medication that I need And two days later, it has not been done. My pharmacy has also called and never Was able to have anyone pick up the phone. If it were not for the fact that I trust and Like Dr. Song, I would not keep going there.
