I have never met a heart Dr that if you are up to 1 min late over the cut off time - Driving almost an hour for my husband's heart appt he was turned away-? I have 17 years of experience in the medical field and never turned my patients away because the tests they were having were extremely important- my husband called and told them we were running late and she stated cut time would be 10 min which would be 3:10pm- my husband walked in their front door at 3:11 and the clock must have turned 3:12 as he told them who he was approaching, then checking in, and he was rudely addressed- we were never treated like this there before and was always treated like a human and respected- in 43 years never have I seen treatment like that- turned away and said no he will not see u-!? I would never being a heart Dr turn anyone away because the treatment that was given and the drive of trying to get there and then turned away would really effect someone's heart- you may should read a patient's hx and their past story, what Dr referred them and who they saw there in the past before you turn away a heart pt-I felt like we were treated like prisoners being talked to horribly-very inhumane-working for a specialist for 17 years I would never want the liability of Turning away a heart pt- please never show up for any appt one min over the cut off because even if you drive 5 hours you will be turned away-
