Negative vibes and a cold, foreboding atmosphere meets you when you walk in. All nursing and ancillary staff looked unhappy. No a smile to be seen. The cardiologist was distant and uninterested; responses to our concerns were caddy, short, and condescending. Horrible bedside manner. We remained silent while he belittled us with his superior attitude. He has "over 51 years experience" but maybe that isn't a good thing. Medical care in Middle Georgia is lacking and this visit showed how dysfunctional the medical community is in the area. We cannot recommend this practice. Proceed with caution if you decide to go.

My mother has been going to this office for pas let eight years. The doctor ordered a heart cath because the nurse stated that the doctor saw something. Now at first they said that the procedure would be Tuesday and that the Coliseum would call her to let her know the time to be there, this was after she called because no one called us back to tell her what time the procedure would be. Then we never got a call and mom called the office again later that to be told that it is still being reviewed by insurance and it may be Thursday. Next, she called again and it will
Need a clinical review. My mother called her insurance and they informed her that this could have been done in seven days if this was a rush procedure or if this was a concern from provider. But now it will take 14 to 20 days maybe. Now the doctor never even called my mother to even talk about if this was a rush or concern. Now she is upset and of course she would be because she want to live like anyone else. She called the office and front desk voiced that the doctor and nurse are working at another location and she will get a call around 1pm. But we know like before she may not get a call back. I don't like to see my mother upset and with heart issues in the family this is bothering me. There are health professionals that are concerned about their patients just like if they were their father or mother but they are very hard to find. I hope to God that we can get some type of call from the doctor today cause this ridiculous.

As with all doctors affiliated with a State or Municipal Hospital, he is in no position to engage in any conduct which might serve to impede the local authorities from using the State & Municipal Hospitals to bilk Federal Insurance Programs at every possible opportunity (i.e., anytime no private company stands to be harmed in any way) -- or the ability of his colleagues to secure their "cut" -- by recognizing any patients with Federal Insurance as their sole or primary coverage as having rights of any kind, including the right to seek alternate treatment, even in situations where the patient has decided not to be treated by their original doctor because of a medically unnecessary procedure that was performed at a State/Municipal Hospital as a result of an admitted misdiagnosis. More to the point, since he has elected to work with a Municipal Hospital like Coliseum Medical Center (where his office is located), he has no choice but to be fully complicit in the efforts of the local authorities to bilk Federal Insurance Programs for every penny they can -- and any misconduct, corruption or willful malpractice that arises from those efforts (i.e., the Hippocratic Oath is automatically forfeit for any doctor working at a State or Municipal Hospital in any State wherein the Federally Insured are not allowed to select a Managed Care Plan).
Incidentally, anytime the locals are allowed to deny Beneficiaries of Federal Insurance the option of selecting a Managed Care Plan, it means that someone very high up at the State level is owed a very big favor by someone very high up at the Federal level, since the reason that Managed Care Plans exist in general is to protect both the Beneficiaries of Federal Insurance and the Feds themselves from the depths that the local authorities are willing to sink to in order to use State & Municipal Hospitals to steal from Federal Insurance Programs. As for the real purpose it serves, once the local medical community gets together and agrees to violate the Hippocratic Oath by denying a segment of the populace the medical treatment they are entitled to under the law -- as the entire medical community in any Municipality allowed to steal from Federal Insurance Programs inevitably must at some point, regardless of the pretext offered by the local authorities -- there can be no going back, laying the groundwork for the local authorities to endlessly use and exploit the medical profession for their own ends.
