Northside Cardiac Surgery - Lawrenceville

One year ago, Dr. Karim and his team saved my life. After a series of tests, they discovered an aneurysm on my aorta. What was expected to be a four-hour surgery turned into an eight-hour procedure. Once they began operating, they discovered a dangerous opening between my heart chambers. I am forever grateful to Dr. Karim, Sidney, Logan, and the entire surgical team for their skill, care, and compassion. From day one Dr. Karim explained everything, and the nursing staff was amazing. Because of them, I'm here today. Over the past year, I've committed to my health--walking 3-4 miles, four times a week. I completed the American Heart Association Walk in October, and I now proudly serve as a heart-health advocate, inspiring other women to prioritize their heart health. Thank you for giving me a second chance at life.

Dr Winston repaired a thoracic aneurysm that was found in my husband's aortic arch. I can't begin to tell you how skilled and highly recommended Dr Winston is. And the hospital, the staff, every detail from beginning to end was so impressive. My husband and I are both nurses and notice every aspect of the care and concern provided. This was definately the place to be. We are thankful for Dr Winston, Lauren, and the entire team.

Our 84-yo Mother had an Aorta Dissection with an Aneurysm, many do not survive. God led us to Dr. Karim, we are so thankful for him and his surgical ability. She did wonderful during the surgery and throughout her recovery, it was a miracle! She said, "a lot of doctors are good, but Dr. Karim IS the BEST"!!! Also, Logan Crumley, PA, thank you for being the amazing person you are! What a great team, please never stop providing the wonderful care that you do!! We are so thankful!!!

Great! No complaints at all. Everyone from the nurse staff to the surgeon were excellent. Dr. Karim, the cardiac surgeon informed us very well of the procedure that was taking place and he listened to all of our questions and concerns and made us feel at ease. The nurses were very polite and heart warming. Overall the hospital was clean and well maintained.

Dr. Karim was amazing.He was thorough in explaining what was and did happen during my double bypass and valve replacement. His philosophy on caring for his patients is one that left me with confidence that everything well. He looked for my best interest in every aspect of the process including my family informed and at ease. This also was reflected in how his staff treated me. Thank you Dr. Karim!!
