Office staff needs better training!! I called last Friday to request an order for my father for a test that is recommended. I was told that someone from office would call my father back( because I asked specifically) that day to let him know the order was sent over. No one ever called. I called back on Monday, the phone line was routed to a Riverdale office and I was told I had to wait until Wednesday when Stephanie would be back in the Cleveland Ave office ( I am going to assume the Atlanta Heart Association did not have someone to cover for Stephanie in her absence). I finally spoke to Stephanie on Wednesday and was told that the order was sent over and to call and make an appointment. Great!!! Finally an appointment. However, my father has never been in the hospital until about 2 weeks ago. He is overwhelmed with his health issues. When I spoke with Stephanie on yesterday I ask if his cardiologist could give him a call and explain to him the type of procedure he is recommending so he could have a better understanding of what would go on. I also asked if he could have some medication to help him relax. Stephanie then ask me what medication?? ( how would I know, I am not a doctor). She then told me she would see if the doctor would him back. huh???. Now it Thursday and dad never heard anything back. So I called again. Spoke with Stephanie. I was told medication had been call in to his Pharmacy( when was dad going to be told this). When I asked when was he going to hear from Dr. Egbe she told me she didn't know. That's was it for me. Dr. Egbe has been my mother's cardiologist for over 20 years. I will say this past year the people working the office is giving the organization a not so good reputation. I'm sorry to say but I am finding my father another cardiologist.
