This was the first time in 2 decades I felt so uncomfortable. I had a panic attack and cried once I got to my car. He had very poor bedside manners, never checked my vitals or anything. Was very gruff, took meds away to lower my cholesterol and triglycerides which are dangerously high according to my GI, my previous Dr, I love but it's too far for me, as I have a lot of pain in my spine and hips if I sit to long. As well as the ER cardiologist. He also took my diabetes meds off except then added 1 metformin back. He ignored me when I kept saying the ER added to my prescriptions. Wouldn't even look. So never got refills for it. Asked for a change in pain meds from tramadol he said no he won't do pain meds go see a pain specialist. I told him I couldn't bc I can't do steroid injections I have a bad reaction he told me yes I can. Go see a pain specialist they have two kinds. Then didn't even say bye, visits over just asked if my husband was in the next room for his apt. I said yes that's him he said ok and left, as I say there confused, and then I heard him talking to him. So I just left assumed visit was over n I couldn't be more eager to run out the door. Knowing or having someone medical file seeing I have Anxiety, major depression, and PTSD from prior DV relationship he should have been more kind, concerned, willing to listen and explain his decisions and understand my concerns.
My visits with Village Medical & Dr S Desai and others doctors at this location are always Excellent! Staff is friendly, caring and checks on your needs; Dr Desai has been my Primary for several yrs, a very experienced medical professional. No matter how busy he is, he always takes the time to listen, examine me as a patient, and reviews my medical history with me.
