Dr. Hamki is a very caring doctor. He always makes sure my overall health is in good shape. I may come in for an earache and he will say "how is your blood pressure? Are you still Taking your medication?". He always checks my ankles for swelling and sometimes will get frustrated with me if Im not taking good care of myself. He always asks about my husband and kids and he gives good advice. I love him. He really is a genuine hearted doctor! He's definitely my "go to".
Dr. Hamke has been treating me and my family and friends for years. He's better than any of the internists I have been to. He personally has called to follow up on how we are doing and that means so much to us. Best Ever! Thank you, Dr. Hamke
Dr. Hamki was beyond attentive. He reached out to me more than once after my initial in office visit. He recommended further care that I should seek as well as to check on how I was doing. Unfortunately, the level of genuine care that Dr. Hamki showed is a rarity now a days. If needed, I would definitely visit again because of the care that I received from him. Thank you!
This is going to be a long detailed review but I feel that certain things need to be said to understand how terrible my experience was. If you want the short and sweet explanation-- Dr.Hamki treated me as if I was lying about my problem and made comments about why I was feeling the way I was to dismiss my concern. If you want a more detailed explanation read further.. I came to urgent care because I was having an svt attack that I couldn't stop. By the time I had my vitals taken my heart was at about 116 bpm. When Dr.Hamki came in he didn't do an exam or anything. He immediately started to question why I thought I had svt and even asking me for the definition of svt I guess to prove I knew what I was talking about. And even though he was asking me questions and I was trying to explain to him that I had been diagnosed before, he kept cutting me off and saying I was probably just stressed from work. He said "you have to be able to control your stress. Don't let your coworkers stress you out" he told me I basically needed proof of my problem. After a few minutes of back and forth he finally decided to get an ekg done for me. While this is going on he is still trying to convince my mom that it is probably just stress and even says "it's probably from breaking up with a boyfriend" (I don't have a boyfriend and I didn't just break up with someone but i guess he felt the need to just say something off the wall to get my mom to stop asking him questions).. by the time I get the read from the ekg it says 175 bpm which at that point he finally says "oh it IS going up and down" and then he starts trying to counsel me and say "you are the captain of your body. If something is going on you have to be able to say it" (LIKE WHAT HAVE I BEEN TRYING TO DO THIS WHOLE TIME WITH YOU?!) My experience is just a snapshot of the rude and highly unprofessional treatment I received from Dr.Hamki. He did call me after I went to the emergency room and got a shot of adenosine to stop the svt attack to "check to make sure I was ok" probably because he knew he messed up.. Thank God it wasn't something more serious but I will never go back here again and I will post this review to every place I possibly can because no one should be questioned and dismissed the way I was. You are a DOCTOR that is your JOB to listen to people's concerns and take every symptom they are describing to you as SERIOUS not just as joke.
