Northside Heart - Cumming

I went there today as a referral. Everything went great until it was time to check out. I told the receptionist that my max out of pocket had been met and she said that she would check. A couple of minutes went by and she said my co pay was $50.00. I paid it, scheduled my next appointment and left. I called my insurance company right away and was told I should not have paid a copay, that my tier 1 and 2 had been met. The insurance representative asked if the office checked before charging me and I said that the receptionist said she did. The insurance representative put me on hold a couple of times while tring herself to call the office, no one answered her call. I went back to the office got a refund and canceled my future appointments. Make sure you call your insurance provider BEFORE going to this office.

Been terrible since day one. Scheduling coordinator is rude and cuts me off. It's very hard to schedule and appointment. They've called my medication in to the wrong pharmacy and wrong town. I was told my results would come back in two days, I called today and was told they'd take two weeks. I've never received patient care like this before in my life. I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone. However, I did my stress test at the Roswell location and they were extremely friendly and nice. I also didn't have to wait at all for my appointment. The cumming location is the worst...

I should have known it was going to be awful when it took 2 MONTHS to even get an appointment. Turns out when a new patient calls to schedule a drs. appointment you get to leave a message and the office calls you back at their convenience. This alone almost prevented me from going but I got the referral from a doctor I trust so I persisted. So after finally scheduling my appointment I arrive with new patient paperwork in hand 20 min. early for my appointment only to wait 40 MINUTES to be called back. All while watching numerous individuals loaf around the front desk discussing what to buy for lunch. Well after being taken back I had to unique privilege of waiting another 50 MINUTES before seeing the doctor just so I could discuss what I had already established with the doctor that referred me. Another 15 MINUTES later I walked out of there. There is a complete lack of customer service. My time and commitments are just as valuable as yours. I had people counting on me to be back from my appointment on time but no one considered that. I have a lot of doctors and none of them treat me like this. I'm tired of the medical community making excuses. This entire visit was a waste of time and money. It is outrageous to expect a new costumer to leave a message to schedule an appointment so you can call her back at a time that conveniences you. It is outrageous to expect any customer to arrive on time for an appointment then have her wait 1.5 HOURS to see the doctor. I've worked in customer service dealing with parents (which are not an easy customer base to please) and I would NEVER have displayed such a disregard to a paying customer.

I was referred to Dr. Benson from my PCP. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful. Dr. Benson is very thorough, attentive, and persistent. He made sure I got the tests I needed so we could find the problem. He will do what it takes to get a resolution and get you feeling better!
