Piedmont Heart of Rockdale is horrible when it comes to handling the administrative side of being seen. At first I was referred to there location through the VA which from jump, I had to do they job to scan a referral and all. HORRIBLE. Then on both of My appointments with this horrible company, Dr. Venkatesan and his team don't tell Me what's wrong w/ My heart. They just push medication on Me without giving Me no cause behind My heart condition. Then on top of that, they billed me directly and not the VA. When I contact the VA to transfer the bill to their office, the VA specifically states: THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO BILL YOU DIRECTLY. This operation is ran poorly.

I had to go to Piedmont Atlanta to get what I thought was going to be an open heart surgery to repair 2 blockages in my heart. Dr. Klein, He was able to repair the blockages during a heart catheterization with stents. I was so thankful for Dr. Kleins's knowledge so I didn't have to have another bypass surgery. I had one 6 years ago and I wasn't looking forward to having to have it done again. Thank you Dr. Klein for everything.

12/9/22 Piedmont's response to my review (see below) makes the point! I would call that a "non response." NO apology and they want me to go to their website to the "contact us" page and tell them what happened. First off, I explained in detail what happened by the lengthy review below. Second, the Piedmont "contact us" page gives this error message: "The page you are looking for has either moved or is no long available." Also, their website, in my opinion, is so self-serving, just like the response to this review. For me the bottom line is this: Spend MONEY on signage so patients don't have to get stressed out and have to resort to asking for directions from Piedmont employees taking them away from their jobs, like the nurse at the Heart Rehab facility. Seems that is part of her unwritten duties! __________________________ 12/8/22 Just finding this facility is enough to raise anyone's blood pressure! Be careful which side of Milstead Avenue you are on. With GPS I ended up at the "loading dock" of some facility, could not get turned around and had to BACK the car up to get out. Stopped at the Heart Rehab building and the nurse who came to the door told me this happens all the time for patients looking for Building A and she complained that no street numbers are shown on the buildings. This wonderful nurse gave me specific verbal instructions and I found my way. The clue was that when I got to the "loading dock" area I needed to look CLOSELY for a very small road to the right, turn there and then make a sharp left turn. There was the large parking lot for Building A. Yes! It was a rainy day and only a few parking spaces left because some were UNDER WATER. I parked and went into Building A looking for Suite 100, no doubt looking tired and confused. I was assisted by a very nice gentleman (security guard?) who started telling me how to go back outside and around the building, etc. etc. He then said that since it was raining he would take me the "back way" through the building to reach Suite 100. Another very helpful employee in this maze of medical facilities. Finally got there about 15 minutes late for my appointment and totally stressed out. Not good for a 74 year old women with high blood pressure. After this terrible experience I have complete disdain for anything PIEDMONT. In my opinion there was no excuse for this experience because all PIEDMONT has to do is put up signage to direct their patients. How much would that cost? I guess it would cut into their financial bottom line so why worry about the sick folks looking for medical help? However, I want to praise the two helpful employees who were kind enough to guide me to Building A, Suite 100. They were heroes to me!

Dr. Vanga is an exceptional doctor. He listened carefully and thoroughly and provided recommendations for appropriate treatments for my husband. I was so happy to have found such quality medical care. The folks at the front desk are a little unorganized but hopefully they will get the right staff in there to straighten things up.

Man man man...whew! I am not sure what receptionist I am speaking with every time I call but it is the same one and she always has the WORST attitude! She will cut you off before you can even get your reasoning for calling out, she will refuse to switch you over to the nurse and try to answer the question herself. One time, she almost gave me the wrong information and caught herself before finally switching me over to the nurse. Ma'am, I knew you didn't know the answer because you're the RECEPTIONIST hence why I called to speak to a NURSE. Of course you didn't know the answer to my question. Secondly, the two doctors that I've seen thus far have the worst attitudes. I had a male doctor that literally would not listen to me. He made up his mind what I didn't have, despite numerous doctors saying I did have it, and was so arrogant! The next doctor, who I ended up switching to due to a referral that she was good, had a horrible horrible attitude. She came in acting like she was so fed up with the day or with a previous patient. Ma'am this is our first encounter and this is how you are? She did not take anything I said seriously and did not answer any of my questions. She literally stayed with me for five mins before she was walking and talking out the door. I was literally talking to her the whole time basically begging at this point for help. Every time I told her something that happened to me or with a ER visit so she could assess me, she kept sighing and frowning. I had to keep apologizing for reiterating information to her from other visits so she would stop being so annoyed. She made me feel like my issues weren't valid and that I was wasting her time. She was horribleee!!! I am soooo disappointed and I feel so defeated yall. I pray I get help before anything happens to me because so far, the Piedmont network, including the incompetent staff at the ER, have all been lazy and only looking forward to getting paid. I understand the demands of being a doctor but YOU picked this field, not me! The attitudes and carelessness is concerning and not called for! I really don't understand WHY?
