I have been with Dr. Burrell for a very long time and she is great! You do usually have to wait longer, but that is because she takes time with all her patients and genuinely cares! Nice to see her smiling and excited at last appointment because of my 35 lb weight loss, which helped improve my hbp, cholesterol and heart (cardiologist was happy too)!
Overall I rate Dr Burrell as above average. It is her medical and administrative staff that need significant improvement. There is always inconsistencies with appointments and medications. There seem to be such a turn around with the medical staff that they are all over the place, one person is not seeing what the other is doing. Her administrative staff can't answer simple questions. They always tell you they will get back with you, but usually never do
I suggest anyone that is looking for a doctor. Please don't waste your time with this one. She is rude and so is her staff. I see several specialist due to my health issues, so she really doesn't do much for me. All she has to do is refill my medicine for simple things or do my referrals. It takes her office months to get my referrals in or the other doctors office to call in to have them do it for me. My medicine is always late being put in. Every time I call this office it's a different story and they lie. Lying for them is as easy as breathing in this place. I really wish I could give her zero stars, but she gets one. She doesn't truly care about her patients either, and that is the saddest part of all.
Dr. Burrell is great, unfortunately the staff is horrible! The average wait to be seen WITH AND APPOINTMET is 3 hours! My family member went today for blood work, and after being checked in was told that the wait for blood work was 3HOURS! FOR BLOOD WORK? At 9am? How are you running 3 hours behind at 9 in the morning? It's clear that they double book, and instead of apologizing and try to make it better, they want to put you down as "no show" and reschedule you! The office manager was called and she was the one telling the receptionist to put us down as "no show"!! Folks look at your bill and make sure you aren't getting charged for a "no show" fee!!! I wish Dr. Burrell would change clinic!
Dr Burrell is excellent, once you FINALLY get to see her. The wait is terrible. All I suggest is you Take alot of patience with you to your appointments. You will definitely need it!
