Patient
I am pregnant and was in the ER recently. I was advised to follow up immediately with a cardiologist. I was able to get an an appointment at this office quickly. I was assured and reassured on two separate occasions by two separate employees over the phone that my insurance was accepted. I also checked with my insurance carrier who did list that this doctor was in network. When I arrived for my appointment, the front desk person said, "We've NEVER taken this insurance" - in a tone that sounded like my insurance is somehow inferior to others. A second front desk person approached and double checked that, indeed, they do not take my insurance. At no point did they apologize for any inconvenience. One impolitely excused herself to the bathroom with a sigh as if to say, "This isn't my problem." I called to speak with the manager and was routed to a voicemail and have yet to hear back. So, apparently, my situation is of no concern to them. I am now left scrambling to find an appointment. Again, I'm pregnant and was advised by an ER physician that I need to be seen IMMEDIATELY. Due to this practice, I have now had a significant delay in care which can pose serious health risks to me and my unborn child.. I previously worked in healthcare for nearly 10 years and understand how offices work, and this was an extremely poor experience on my end as a patient. I do NOT recommend them and would advise to look elsewhere.
