Patient
This "cardiologist" couldn't be bothered to read my EKG from the ER that caught my episode. When he said my tests were all clear and I asked about the EKG, he said they don't save those from the ER. Then I said I saw the paper form come up with me, he said "well I didn't see it in your chart". When I pressed for him to review it, he rolled his eyes and said I could just follow up as an outpatient. He refused to take time and answer my questions. He seemed like he was just "there so he doesn't get fined" type attitude. When he left, the nurse that was in the room went to get my main nurse Mary and she walked over to the computer next to me and read the result from the EKG in the ER. She explained what it captured and that my heart self resolved after the episode. She encouraged me to keep advocating for myself and to see a different cardiologist than Jack. I see this seems to be a recoccurring problem with this cardiologist. I am hoping to find better specialist at Redmond who actually will take the time to adequately review pertinent medical history rather than dismiss questions and test results that should be considered.
