Northside Cardiology PC: Hafeez Nabeel MD

I would highly recommend this Cardiologist. He was very thorough and went over my concerns in detail. He used diagrams and models to help explain my issues. Made it easier to understand what was going on with my heart. He took a lot of time to go over my questions. I liked to fact that he went over many options in regards to my treatment plan and wanted my input. I felt very reassured after meeting him!

These people have been taking care of me for about a year. I've made unexpectedly good progress. They have good phone support and are connected to the Northside heart failure therapy clinic. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family without hesitation.

I found DR Nabeel Hafeez to be extremely arrogant and narcissistic and somewhat confrontational when asked questions. He does not like it when people drill down deep with concerns. He actually told me he went to school till he was 35 and knew what he was doing. This was within the first 5 minutes of meeting him for the first time. Pretty amazing! He also made a comment about RFK??? I don't follow politics so I have no ideas why he brought that into the discusion. When people act like this they loose credibility and destroy the patient trust. DRs owe the patient the respect to answer questions seeing as its their body and they have to live with the consequences. When people are narcissistic their abilities do not evolve and their knowledge becomes frozen in time. This is just my view but I feel I have a very keen sense for abilities or lack there of. I have seem many DRs over the years and I have to say this was one of the most bizarre interactions.

I had a very good experience here. I was referred by my internist for chest pain. My appointment was arranged by the office without any problems. Dr. Hafeez was very reassuring and he explained to me what the concern was about. he explained everything that could be done in regards to testing, medicines and surgery. He really went out of his way to give me detailed answers to all of my questions and I appreciated that lots. He gave me his suggestions but also all of the alternatives. A person from his business office went over the costs with my insurance. When the tests found a blockage in my artery, Dr. Hafeez made sure it was treated quickly with a stent. I've been seeing him since and am very happy.

I liked this doctor and his office. Pros: Very meticulous in getting details about my history. Gave me several treatment options. Explained all medications and tests, with all positives and negatives. Good nurses. Cons: lots of paperwork (usual). No same day appointments. Had to come back to have tests done. Overall: One of the best doctors I've been to.
