Dr. Alexander Herzog is a highly knowledgeable and skilled physician. During my appointment for abdominal pain, he was thorough in her examination and spent a good amount of time answering all my questions. Her explanation of the MRI and test results was clear, and I appreciated the step-by-step approach he recommended for my treatment plan, which made me feel confident in her care
As a physician, he is medically qualified. As a practice, they are the most incompetent run, most unprofessional practices I have ever experienced. I was there for my annual Medicare wellness physical and they charged me an additional $200 overall due to incorrect billing. Incompetent coders, incompetent and non-responsive management and support. Their patient portal is from the 1990's and is down 75% of the time. It take's 3+ voicemails to anyone to ever get a response. They never have any sense of urgency, (they also don't work on Thursday or Friday afternoons). Billing problems are difficult because they use a 3rd party, which is just as incompetent.
I've been a nurse for over 30 years and am still working FT for a local hospital. That means lots of contact with lots of physicians in addition to personal and family contact and Dr A. Herzog is the best ever! I can find nothing but good things to say about him. It's not just the wonderful bedside manner. It's the expertise, the excellent contacts and referrals, even the fact that he's an internist and not just a GP. Not to mention the office staff and support he must have being in an office with so many other internists to collaborate with and fill in for him when he's on vacation. Believe me when I say I notice things and pick it apart and I truly have not found one negative. Dr Alexander Herzog has delivered care to me that has been exceptional. I don't hesitate to recommend him.
