Dr. Alikhani is an all-around excellent physician; I love him in all aspects of his medical care & profession. Unfortunately, since I was admitted to this place that is NOT A HOSPITAL, which I did not know, my health is declining in many ways. BP as high as 193/? . I had to tell technician this was due to the position of my arm; And More! THANK YOU DR. ALIKHANI!!!

Dr Alikhani Zoubin, did my Ablation in 2013. The kindness most understanding Doctor. I suffer from Severe Anxiety Disorder due to two years of Cancer Treatment. I had to be put under General Anesthesia to do the procedure. I would not have be able to tolerate being awake after grueling Cancer Pain during procedures I endured. He agreed. Blessings on his family and practice. There are times it's essential you have a doctor with true empathy

The fact it's taking me this long to write a review makes me sad to be honest...lol. Because if there's any doctor that deserves recognition, it would be Dr. Alikhani. I actually live in Florida and have had the pleasure of working in the medical field for two decades now. I've worked from trauma to the Nicu, physical therapy to Audiology... And of course the lovely years of MedSurg :) (IYKYK). In my years, Ive also had the pleasure of meeting a good amount of providers/specialists from all over the United States and been fortunate to form a lot of relationships as well with different docs nurses surgeons, etc. So when my mom started having heart issues, I of course called the providers I've stood next to for decades... Little did I know the people I knew and trusted the most, would be the ones to do the least and cause my mom months of stress and aggravation. After months of being told, there's nothing to do, or "she's OK". Even though she was constantly struggling with her activities of daily living, and just "NOT OK". The doctor just would not listen to her. Just wanted to "try a diff cardiac med" (we had been through12-13 at that pt..)as her daughter/best friend/ and the one that's got her always, I started doing research on "top cardiologists". And there was Dr. Alikhani . I put my mom in the car and drove her up to Atlanta Georgia last summer. It was the best decision we've (well she didn't really get the choice lol) ever made. Since going to Dr. Alikhani, and him, providing all of his medical expertise, overall kindness and letting her know she's going to be ok-In a way that was as genuine as I've ever seen, and making sure that my mom will be taking care of, she is thriving daily. She has energy back, her smile is back, and she has more spice than ever (sigh ha). She of course has her tough days and there are still things that she has to work on... But without Dr. Alikhani , there's no doubt in my mind my mom wouldn't be here today due to the track that other doctors were putting her on. It's one thing I've learned as a medical provider or as the patient... You have to listen to your patient. And the patient have to have faith and trust in their Doctors. Regardless of the medical situation. And if that gut tells you otherwise.,, RUN Thank you Doc for giving me my mom back. Ps Gloria is incredible!!!! And we just had the pleasure of meeting the nurse practitioner... And I can honestly say that I will continue to commute the 10 hours that it takes with no questions asked.

I found Dr. Alikhani through a telephone call with a business person who said, "Dr. Alikhani saved my life." That is exactly what I said in reference to my very first cardiologist, "She saved my life." After several years with another cardiologist I determined it was time to find someone else. I have found Dr. Alikhani to be a warm, caring & compassionate physician. I felt very comfortable with him on day one; he didn't "talk down" to me, he listens, answers my questions, responds to whatever I say or ask, and considers what I am saying and involves me (when appropriate) in determining my treatment. I have never left an appointment with him when I felt I did not receive appropriate attention, decision-making, etc. He always has a warm, pleasant smile and I can go on and on. At the same time that I switched to Dr. Alikhani I also switched two other specialists and I am very happy with the decisions. Thank you Dr. Alikhani and your staff; especially at St. Josephs.

2024 UPDATE- I still stand by my 1 star review: My doctor (electrophysiologist from Piedmont Heart Institute) just congratulated me on my 7 year anniversary without a pacemaker! The one I never needed to begin with! So grateful to have found this doctor at Piedmont Heart Institute and so glad I fired the old one from Atlanta Heart Specialists! ("Dr" Alikhani and "Dr" Torres.) Edited to add: not only did I not need the pacemaker but when he put it in the leads they were put in the wrong place and the day after it was removed I got a letter from Boston Scientific saying it was being recalled. All my doctor should have done was taken me off the blood pressure meds because I had lost the 40lbs he told me to and I no longer needed the BP meds. And yes, I am still angry! ********* 2017 review below******** Dr Alikhani and his associate told me I needed a pacemaker. Unfortunately I didn't seek a 3rd Opinion and has the surgery only to feel horrible. He prescribed medication that made me feel worse. He refused to adjust pacemaker. My blood pressure got very low and I was lightheaded all the time. I had pacemaker syndrome and he refused to treat it. I fired him and his associate and found a wonderful electrophysiologist and cardiologist, both of whom said they would NEVER have reccommended me for a pacemaker. I was taking a medication that was making my heart rate low. Once that medication was stopped my heart rate went back to normal. Had they stopped that medication that they prescribed I never would have had the pacemaker implanted. Run to a different practice!
