Patient
Dr. Micheal Lloyd was my doctor for 11 years. He implemented a total of 4 pacemakers in me. The first 3 were no problem at all. He was kind, compassionate and very friendly. I thought he hung the moon when it came to my particularly heart condition. I felt that way up until my 4th implant. I woke up during the surgery and was so frightened and crying out in pain. Dr Lloyd was very impatient with me and told me that's enough and even in post op he was not the doctor I was so use to. No mention was written in the office notes about me waking up during the surgery. I'm not sure there was a anesthesiologist was in the room. In the past one has came in and introduced themselves. I have asked for the names of everyone in the OR but have not gotten that information. Dr Lloyd asked me to find another doctor after 11 years. My summation of the events was he's great when thing go smoothly. I was traumatized by waking up during the surgery and then being asked to find a new doctor after 11 years caused me some mental anxiety for several months. I had been with the Emery cardiologist group for 11 years.
