Patient
I recently brought my 22 year old son to Advent Health Orlando hospital because he experienced palpitations, chest pain. I am a registered nurse and would like to thank all of the wonderful doctors, nurses and support staff at Advent Health for caring for my son. The one notable exception was Dr. Prashanta Laddu who was very rude to my wife, dismissive and told her "I don't know why the emergency room physician admitted your son because all of his testing could have been done outpatient." I know it's highly unlikely that a healthy 22 year-old could have coronary artery disease. However, I just wanted to get reassurance from Dr. Laddu and his opinion if there were any concerns of other heart issues such as congenital heart defects, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (thickening of heart muscle). I understand doctors are very busy people and most do an amazing job at trying their best to help patients. In my opinion, Dr. Laddu is NOT one of those doctors. Anyone as rude, dismissive and not willing to answer one question like Dr. Laddu is simply trying to move on to the next patient as quickly as possible. It's fairly obvious that if Dr. Laddu is not willing to spend one minute answering a question then he won't try his best to help a patient. He is simply a highly trained and highly educated businessman with a medical degree who doesn't care about trying to help people.
