Let me start by saying I love Dr Tai. He has taken great care of me and my condition. He will always be my doctor. The office staff and trying to get someone from the office on the phone is another story. I got new insurance and received a call from the office stating they needed it updated in my file. (Don't know who left the message because of course she did not leave her name). I call back to give them my updated info and get the general mailbox. So I leave a completely (detailed) message with all my information. Then I receive a voicemail back from another girl (again no name) stating I have an upcoming appt and they need to verify my insurance information. The same day I receive a second voicemail from a different girl stating she has my insurance info and will attempt to update it in the system. By this time I'm like ok I guess I need to call the office back. I'm frustrated because 2 different people have called and no resolve. So on my lunch I call back and of course get to the general mailbox. I leave a frustrated message saying I have received 2 call backs. I need to verify you have my new insurance and I need to reschedule my upcoming appts. And another call back. This one takes the cake. The lady sounds like she smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day. She says she has cancelled my upcoming appts. And she's not sure who I talked to about my insurance but give them a call back. Who I talked to? I never talked to anyone. It's been voicemail phone tag. Again no name of who called. At this point I have received 4 call backs from all different people ( no names) and I am livid. So I call today and get "jenny" I apologized up front to her because I know it is not her fault but explained the situation. She tells me it is her 4th day there. Jenny proceeds to help me and verified my insurance and rescheduled my appts. In 1 call. She was a doll. I think they need more Jenny's. I told her she was a blessing and keep it up. Moral of the story is the office structure needs a revamp. We are just everyday people with a heart condition trying to take care of what we need to. I will always follow Dr Tai but it is frustrating as a patient not being able to communicate with the office easily. I hope they see this and decide to make upgrades.

every time we call the office we always get the answering machine and they never return calls we've called in four times to have a prescription refilled and they never did call it in We had to go elsewhere to try to get it filled through urgent care. they need to get rid of their staff and rehire all new that wants to work. We have spoke to the doctor several times about his staff not wanting to call back and he keeps blaming it on the phone system

Dr Ammar seems to be a good DR, but the office staff is going to ruin his practice. On my first appointment I was not impressed with the missing/ out lightbulbs in the restroom or the messy walls and missing drawer in the exam room, and the front desk couldn't find a date before August for my to have a stress test done(this was in May) but someone else remembered a day in June. I'm going elsewhere when the day before my stress test I got a call that they didn't get authorization for it and they had to cancel and wanted me to reschedule. After calling our insurance company they did not have a record of anyone requesting an authorization. Someone at the office dropped the ball. Dr Ammar if you are reading this you evidently need to start holding people accountable according to the reviews.

I have known Dr.Tai for over 10 years and he and his staff treat me as family. I believe his diagnosis saved my life.

I would have put no stars. Watching my wife go through all the struggles with this office. If you want to be dismissed by this doctor and waiting days, weeks for any type of communication with this office, then make an appointment. If you would like to sit and wait for your wife to potentially bleed out from a potential brain bleed if she should hit her head. She has a chronic condition that impairs her balance. This situation has been discussed with 3 different providers within this office. One was scared of his own shadow and couldn't address at all - dismissed. Saw another provider, (the one mentioned above had left) ...this provider had to call Dr Tai in to the appointment and my concerns were dismissed but they did request a lab. This lab to my knowledge has never been looked at or addressed...this lab was drawn in December. So, once again, if you want a doctor's office that can't be contacted easily, be dismissed and disrespected ---this is your go to office. My wife's primary doctor and the director of the primary's office are and have been very concerned from the start. She gets frequent hematomas and has 3-4 DOZEN bruises at any given time. Too much blood thinner!! This office has had multiple chances to provide better care through my wife trying to address these issues but they stand tall thinking they are truly providing QUALITY patient care. Dr Tai may be brilliant at putting in a stent or balloon but that is fair as his skills go as a provider in an office setting...he has no skills and his way of thinking trickles down through the entire office. PS Dr Tai had no problem putting down and accusing my previous interventionalist of not providing me with the proper treatment....well, we would rather have a doctor who is humble, respectful and listens than a doctor who thinks he walks on water.
