Dr. Michelle Springstead is wonderful. As for Citrus Cardiology their office leaves a lot to be desired. You can never reach anyone by phone. It doesn't matter what time or when you call nobody answers the phone . I would have to say, the worst run medical office I've ever been to. I must also say, on a positive note, I've never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes before I was called back for my appointment.
We arrived 15 minutes early and thought maybe we would get in a bit earlier than my appointment time. As it turned out, we had to wait for the first time. Once inside the room, we waited a few more minutes until the doctor came in. He fist bumped us and immediately apologized for keeping us waiting! Never has a doctor taken accountability for their actions. I was impressed!!
This was my first visit. I arrived anxious with a list of questions. I received kind attention and care. My questions were answered clearly in detail. My cardiologist was excellent, professional and provided me with information to monitor and improve my health. I am 100% satisfied with my experience.
I will qualify this review by acknowledging the patient care at Citrus Cardiology is excellent and I've never had a problem with doctors or front office. My big complaint is I've been trying for 9 business days to get my records(3 voicemails)to my primary doctor in Tampa and I cannot even get the courtesy of a return phone call from the records department ..that is unacceptable to me as it should be to whoever's in charge of that department..imo..
Dr. Ranka came highly recommended to me by a trusted friend who is a retired physician, and I now understand why. He was exceptionally thorough and took the time to explain everything clearly in terms I could easily understand. What stood out most, however, was his outstanding bedside manner--compassionate, approachable, and reassuring throughout the entire visit. I confidently give Dr. Ranka a five-star review and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking excellent medical care.
