After my first appointment, I truly believed this office would be a well-coordinated team that could help manage my medical needs efficiently. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Following my initial visit, I called the office--about 10 minutes after leaving--to confirm details about the two labs I was told I needed. I had already received paperwork for one, but I hadn't seen anything for the blood work. I asked if paperwork was needed, or if the order could be sent directly to Quest prior to my next appointment. I was told everything was good to go. However, when I showed up to Quest a week later, only one lab order had been faxed. This was extremely frustrating and disruptive, especially as a working individual who can't afford to take repeated time off without it affecting my pay. Still, I followed up the next day to ensure the blood work was sent. I spoke with the same gentleman again, who assured me that four lab orders were now faxed and that everything was handled. I rearranged my work schedule again and made another trip to Quest--only to be told again that no blood work orders had been received. At that point, I had already spent an hour on the phone earlier that same day trying to confirm everything, plus another 30 minutes being redirected back to the same person I'd spoken with multiple times. It was only then that I was informed the blood work hadn't even been approved by Dr. Roger Pupo yet, which meant nothing could be sent to Quest. At no point during the week of calls and confirmations was I ever told that the labs weren't approved. Instead, I was misled to believe everything was ready. I find it extremely disappointing that after taking time off work--twice--and investing hours into follow-up calls, I was given completely inaccurate information and no real accountability. I'm requesting immediate clarification on the status of my labs and a better explanation as to why this happened. At the very least, I expect transparency moving forward so I can plan accordingly and not continue wasting my time.
Do not get this medical center for your health care. Called five times today about a referral and needed to speak to the Temple Terrace office and couldn't get to a person. Sanitas calls all go to a call center and then they transfer the call to the office but no one picks up the phone. Worst experience ever trying to get basic simple healthcare from them. Oh they are my primary care provider.....
They allowed me to book an appointment for a 17 month old baby and then when we arrived, told us they don't take kids under 2. This office needs more organization and better training for their staff. Why allow us to make the appointment if they only take kids 2 and above? Please don't waste people's time.
Very disappointed with my first visit. The doctor barely asked questions or offered solutions for my diabetes. I wasn't seen on time, and the referral they promised still hasn't been sent, even after I called twice. Very unprofessional.
