I have seen Dr. Smith for well over 15 years. While I often have to wait past my appointment time to see him. He is well worth the wait. He is very thorough and an excellent cardiologist. He has outstanding bed side manor. He even treated my mom while she was still alive and she loved him as well.
I strongly recommend him. Just be aware that like Great food at a restaurant, you might have to wait to get great service.

You will not find a more brilliant, caring and capable cardiologist than Dr Jim Smith. We have known him for 25 years and he has a steady stellar reputation as a true expert in interventional cardiology. My wife very nearly died as a 43-year-old woman who suffered a massive heart attack while we were living in France. She was in seemingly perfect health. After the heart attack and a failed cath intervention, Dr Smith viewed the video of the intervention. He said "Don't let anyone touch her. Get her to me." We were med-a-vac'ed home and he straightened out the mess created in Paris. He knew exactly what to do and placed stents that have caused her to have excellent health. 14 years later she is doing great.
He also is a sincere follower of Christ. And this is what he would prefer to be most known for.
You will not find a more conscientious medical care provider than Jim Smith.

For some reason this post shows my wife's name but I'm her husband James. I have used Dr Smith since the mid 1990s along with my brother Dwayne he is absolutely fantastic wouldn't trade him for anyone. My only concern is getting an appointment with him after you have seen him. This has happened the past 2 years after I have seen Dr Smith he will say go ahead and schedule an appointment for next year but when I try to the girls always tell me we don't make them that far ahead. One of the best I know. In 2013, I suffered from a T.I.A, and Tampa General treated me as such, but couldn't pinpoint why. When I got to Dr. SMITH, he ordered a full lipid profile and found High Lipoprotein A. The "cousin" has too bad cholesterol. From there he did a scope and found a leaky valve along with wall thickness, and the middle valve is shaped like an hourglass. Not wanted to do surgery to place stints in (my artery would collapse and the stints would go through), he advised me to learn to lower stress. It's 2012 and I'm still here. My numbers are also better because he worked on a solution, not just a quick fix!
