Dr Oliver Abela MD Cardiology

I had a heart attack in Dade City and the needed intervention was too complicated for the local doctors, so I was sent to AdventHealth Pepin in Tampa Dr Abela was recommended to do the high risk stent and I couldn't be happier. His resume alone, speaks volumes about his skill and experience I credit him for saving my life. His bedside manner is exemplary. He explains the issuesvlike a seasoned professor and has a wonderful sense of humor.He is now my permanent cardiologist.

Fantastic heart interventionist! As a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Jacksonville Florida for nearly 2 decades, I have met many heart specialists and cardiologists. Dr. Abela encompasses many attributes that are rare and essential to the vast dynamics of Healthcare and Cardiovascular Intervention. He's not only highly skillful and assertive, but aggressive in his intervention techniques. He encompasses a high regard to patient safety and is very thorough in his communications with his patients and family members. Should not be practicing because he's never in the confidence. I've see. Him twice as a patient and anytime thereafter, the appointments are always rescheduled are always rescheduled because ""somthing" came up this is clinically and professionally ridiculous. It's time for me to look for another docardiologist. I would stay away if I were you anlooking for a dedeicated cardiologistand, NO I'm not sending an email anehere!!!! My appointment was made after months of waiting and then rescheduled twice. Unacceptable!!!

He's a great doctor on my triple bypass there were complications and the surgeon asked for his assistance, he was able to help removing clots on a pulmonary embolism, a good cardiologist friend of mine said to me later that saved by life,he's a very well mannered approachable dr. He's one of the best

I look forward to appointments with Dr. Abela! He's got a great personality, a great sense of humor, and he really cares. He also works with you on your treatments. By that, I mean, he asks questions, gives options, recommends one, and then ultimately leaves the decision up to you after informing you of side effects, benefits, detriments, etc. I really feel like he cares and he wants me to be a part of my healthcare instead of just doing the "doctors of yore" where he slaps on a stethoscope, tells you what to do, slaps you in the face, and leaves (doctors in the 1970's were awful). Dr. Abela is not one of those guys! He's a wonderful cardiologist and I look forward to being under his exemplary care for many many years to come!
