Dr. Hoshedar P. Tamboli, MD

Dr. Tamboli Saved my life 2 years ago on 5/16 at Tampa General Hospital! It was totally unexpected and I am lucky to be here and very grateful to Dr. Tamboli! I contintue to see him for follow up care and highly recommend him!

He saved my husband's life twice at TGH. He is an excellent cardiologist and cares about his patients.and...you don't give a Dr a 1 rating just because you don't like the way his office does the appointments. ...honestly...If you can't get hold of the office carry yourself down there and talk in person. 6 weeks waiting when Dr told you to do this as soon as possible. ??!!

I was referred to Dr Tamboli by my Primary Care Provider. I have a long and complex cardiac history and my PCP thought Dr Tamboli mhad the experience and credentials to care for me. Being new to the area, I was very glad to have the referral.On my first visit, he appeared competent and thorough. He suggested I come back the following week to have my pacemaker/defibrillator interrogated, which I was happy to do. He also wanted me to have a cardiac ultrasound which I had the following week. As I was getting home from that appointment, my phone rang, and it was Dr Tamboli's office saying that the doctor was concerned with my results and would like me to come in and speak with him the following day. Knowing that it was not going to be good news, I brought my husband along for moral support. Dr Tamboli showed us the ultrasound and said I needed a heart catheterization right away. Needless to say, my husband, kids and I were scared and upset. He told us his staff would schedule the procedure and call me to let me know when it was to be. That was six weeks ago! I can't begin to express how aggravated my husband and I have become trying to get this heart catheterization done! Each time we call, and we have both called numerous times, we get the same story of "Oh sorry Emily does the scheduling, she'll have to call you". We never hear from Emily, we never even get a callback. The staff don't seem to know or care who I am or what we are talking about.This doctor may have the credentials, but if his staff's behavior and lack of follow through are any indication of his competency, I wouldn't let my dogs go to him for a checkup, much less their cardiac care.

This office deserves ZERO stars. Very disappointed with there scheduling and billing department. Make things extremely stressful. Only out for $$$$$ , Dr. Staff is very unorganized, no communication and extremely rude!!! Dr. Tamboli is probably an excellent Doctor, if you can get to see him, which i have not!!
