My appointment went great, Dr. Afolabi was nice, made me feel like she wasn't busy by spending time with me and answering all of my questions (she was clearly very busy). She made me feel comfortable and I'm lucky to have her as my doctor.

1st visit as my Doctor retired. Space is a little dated but well kept. Front desk is somewhat of a production line but considering the number of doctors, not all that bad. Once past that, the entire staff was great. Was called into exam room within minutes of scheduled time and the nurse (Michelle) was fantastic, extremely pleasant and informative, did initial screening and needed preliminary evaluation and vitals. Doctor came in almost immediately and was very personable and friendly, stated she had reviewed my file and EKG, said it looked fine and then we discussed my Pacer status, determined an action plan and going forward timing and process. Dr Afolabi listened intently, asked relevant questions. Great conversation. She took all the time necessary and asked if I had an more questions, never felt rushed and was impressed with her. Think I have another great BayCare doctor.
Dr. Afolabi was outstanding in explaining the cardiology diagnostic work up and potential treatments. It's obvious that she loves her profession. The staff speaks highly of her. I was very impressed with her residency and fellowship training. I felt very comfortable talking to her.
I saw this physician, referred by my cardiologist. She recommended a biventricular pacemaker. The situation is complicated so I won't go into the details. Six months later I am still not treated. She referred me to a different heath care system. I makes no sense to have two cardiologist at two different institutions. Long story short, in my opinion she is very arrogant and judgemental. I am far from a medical ethics professional but I do no the situation does not sit right. I will report the complaint to the State of Florida, they can figure that out. As of writing this review I have been ghosted by her and her staff. Knowing what I know now, I am glad she is not my physician and I don't even mind the delay of treatment. Now I have to look up her license number.
I was so nervous when I was told all the side affects of my stress test but the staff that took care of me were very supportive and kind as they ease my anxiety. They were also very understanding when I expressed to them I was not wearing my hearing device and they had to speak up a bit for me. They did not get upset but made me feel at ease. The test was very long but the staff were so supportive that the time I spend waiting for the different parts of the test went by quickly because of the professionalism of the staff.
