Patient
It was not an appropriate experience. From the phone call to schedule the appointment to the actual visit, everything was disappointing. The front desk has very poor communication. It seems to me that the clinic should only serve patients who speak fluent Spanish, as that appears to be the primary language of the staff. They charged me a copay in advance before I was even seen, which I found wrong--especially since the doctor who was supposed to see me wasn't even present. I went through a screening with an assistant who took my blood pressure, measured my heart rate, and performed an ECG. Then I was seen by a nurse who explained that the doctor was absent. She treated me as if she was a doctor--asking questions and even suggesting that my issue might be something else! She told me I could wait for the doctor, but she didn't know when he would be available. I decided to leave, and she said the doctor would call me. The doctor called the next day and tried to conduct a consultation over the phone, but I declined because I was at work hours and also because I believe the clinic visit should not have happened without the doctor being present.
