HCA Florida Northside Hospital

I'm getting ready to have triple bypass surgery. I've been here for 5 days in the CV-ICU and they have been wonderful to me! The nurses go above and beyond and treat you like family! Head nurse Charlotte, RN Sara, RN Judy I feel like I have new friends in them! They really are lovely people and everyone from the lab techs, to imaging, to physical therapy I have never met a nicer bunch of people! I highly recommend you place your heart in their hands!

I came in experiencing chest pains. I had a heart attack. They saved my life. Treated me like I was family, and the food was honestly really good. Top notch people who really care about what they do. I am so grateful to this staff. They deserve the world. Thank you for saving my life.

Absolutely terrible experience, my boyfriend was brought in by ambulance around 9 am today. Was taken back to do a CT scan brought back out into the waiting room in visible excruciating pain. Still sitting here waiting for a "room to open". We have three to five nurses standing around just chatting laughing away by the patient check in emergency exit. Which I do not like to say they are just standing there doing nothing but quite frankly it seems like nobody is in a rush and nobody wants to do anything. When I first got here I asked if I needed a visitor badge to go back with him. The nurse up front had attitude and said oh he's gonna be in the waiting room. Which was not a response to the question I asked. I also didn't need the attitude. If you don't want to work in healthcare leave. Everyone has just chosen to stare instead of help. Please prioritize people moaning and groaning in pain. If this man was unfortunately on his death bed you would have an automatic spot/room for him. I understand not having a room open but where is the protocol for if someone is hunched over moaning clearly not feeling well on top of the patient care chair area where you usually sit has NOBODY in the chairs. Now when we complain about the wait and how long he's been in pain do they start to send for urine sample. Can you prioritize this before it becomes too much pain? The only nurse that was sweet and nice was the one that finally took care of us when we got back in the room. Funny how after we complain that he's in pain and how this wait has been ridiculous do we then get a room. When we walked back here someone else that got here after us was instantly brought back to the er rooms. I'm not sure if it was because of his race or that the hospital just has no sense of urgency but we will avoid at all costs.

I had to get a triple bypass. And let me tell ya the care I received from Brandi , Christian and Charolette has been phenomenal. They really love their job and took great care of me to be honest everyone at this hospital has been great. I would definitely recommend this hospital if you want to be treated fairly and gentle. Thank you all for taking such great care of me

I enjoyed my stay they were excellent! The staff went above and beyond to take care of me and my needs. They kept me informed and answered all my questions. If they didn't know the answer they would get the info. I was treated like I was someone special. Love them all...there was not one negative person around. I would differently recommend Northside Hospital! Tell them I send my besr!
