First, the nurse was amazing, she took us back to the room to do the ekg and was so great with my son who was having a problem with doing the test. She talked us through it and explained things. When it came to the doctor he was very dismissive, acted like being borderline with someone wasn't a concern and he didn't need to be seen for a year when we clearly had a referral for a reason. Mentioned a heart monitor and then just seemed to not want to be bothered with it.
Unfriendly, going in with a newborn is nerve wrecking itself and they were just so cold. No empathy. Didn't even take off the stickers for the ekg, was like here you go we're done. Kept telling me to calm the baby down when she wasn't even crying AT ALL or barely moving? They clearly didn't want to deal with us , or do their job. 0/10 don't recommend.
Had been following with this doctor for quite awhile without issue Then my daughter had increased symptoms we felt our concerns were "blown off". On our way to our appt. he called telling us not to come in, that it would just be a phone meeting. When trying to ask questions, he didn't listen so they went unanswered. No follow up plan was given just "she will probably need an ablation some day". No explanation as to what was going on, no explanation as to possible outcomes. When I told him my daughter couldn't even drive or do normal activities he just continued saying "it's not a heart block". I understood what it wasn't, I wanted to know what the plan was for what was. It felt as though we were taking up his time and that he was in a hurry to end the conversation. The phone call lasted a total of 3 minutes.
Hands down best Cardiologist my son has been going to him since he was too he found his heart murmur went along with the student at USF I cannot be more grateful we have since moved to North Carolina but he's always been family checked all of my kids and Ezra is doing great by far take your children to him he's awesome and he accepts Medicaid
I have brought my kids to Dr . Babu for the last four years. Always very pleasant and the kids feel at ease. The staff are very nice too!
