I came to Baycare in 2019 and I had so many issues going in in my stomach I thought there was no hope of ever having a normal lifestyle ever again. That was before I was referred to Dr. David Hormozdi. Dr. Hormozdi told me not to panic just yet and said we would get to the bottom of what was going on. After doing a colonoscopy and endoscopy he found that I had Ulcerative Colitis and treated the issue and his treatment has given me a better quality of life. In my opinion Dr. Hormozdi, you are the best Gastroenterologist in Hillsborough County.

Dr. Ayo is an awesome doctor! She stays on top of my medical plan. I like that she always goes over my meds and lab results and procured a copy. I keep them all for comparison. I feel includes in my medical journey. She is so easy to talk to. I have her undivided attention. You are not a number hurried shuffled through. The team at Bay Care are professional and caring. I couldn't imagine being any place else!

My son from birth was receiving his vaccines. The vaccines between 1-2 years of age I felt were just too many. I asked that we space them out as I work from home and my wife is a stay at home mom so he is at a minimal risk for RARE diseases. I asked that we wait for the MMR as I had some concerns and wanted to wait until after he turned 2. The number of people in the entire state of Florida with any of the MMR diseases is less than 20 total, which dividing that by the state's population means he is virtually at no risk waiting. We were asked to not come back to the office unless we vaccinate on schedule. They stated it puts others at risk but if their vaccinated, that shouldn't be the case right? Their argument totally defeated the point of vaccines. I wish we had family doctors like when I was a kid when they practiced medicine and werent paid by big pharma. We are no anti vax by any means but I will not return to a location that FORCES their will or asks you to not to return. Florida goverment provides the numbers of people sick with these diseases as public record so you can calculate the risk to your children and weigh that against the odds of being injured by a vaccine.

I regret to say that my experience with BayCare Medical Group has been consistently disappointing. They are still relying on pen and paper, and the doctor frequently forgets critical patient information. My primary doctor repeatedly scheduled appointments without ensuring necessary blood work was done beforehand, leading to delays in proper diagnosis and care. To make matters worse, my mom was left with untreated high cholesterol and high blood pressure for over a year before they took any meaningful action. The lack of urgency and attention to her health was alarming. Their operations are also poorly managed--entire staff members take lunch breaks at the same time for a full hour. If your appointment happens to be at 1:00, don't expect to get answers to any questions or have issues resolved, as the only person left behind is completely unqualified to assist. They couldn't even reschedule an appointment properly. Overall, the inefficiency, lack of organization, and poor patient care have made this experience incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend BayCare Medical Group to anyone looking for reliable and competent medical care.

UPDATE: This review is for the imaging department in Riverview. Very unorganized. Nobody knows what the next person is doing. I went for a MRI at 5:30pm they sent me away because they said they couldn't find my referral. The next day someone called and said they had it the whole time that the front desk never looked for it. That's telling me that they just wanted to go home so I wasted a trip. The next day I come and one person is telling me I'm fine with my ear piercings the next person tells me no take them out.its like everyone is on their own little power trip. It's just aggravating I've had decent visits to Baycare offices and mostly not so good experiences. Needless to say I'm shopping for new insurance.
