HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital

I had a schedule C-section here. It went really well. All the staff took their time to explain what was happening at all times. They respected my wishes while keeping me informed. The surgery went well and I didn't have any complications. I was able to keep my baby with me the whole time and practice skin to skin as well as some other natural things. If you are a natural mom and have to do a hospital birth this is the best option because they already do a lot of the natural stuff and they are flexible and understanding.

It was amazing visit. The nurse was very kind and comforting. She was very experience as it only took her one time to put an IV in. Usually, it take many times to do so. The nurse has great bed side manner. I felt very comfortable and at ease when I was getting prep for my surgery. The doctor's were very kind. Each one had great bed side manner. Very patient listening to my concerns and comforting me as I was very scared and worried. Each one member on my surgical team was very respectful and kind. I appreciate everyone who take care of me. After surgery waking up I felt very cared for. I feel everyone was listening to my needs. It helped to rest longer and take care of what was happening before leaving.

The best most professional care possible, beginning with preop classes to inform & prepare you, educate & answer all your questions, admission, preop care, surgical care , post op care, housekeeping, meals & discharge. I can't speak more highly & be more thankful. A well oiled machine, very impressive. Thank you.

Kindness, sincerity, patience and compassion - these are sometimes just buzzwords out there in the rest of the world, but they are traits that every single professional we encountered here truly embodied. We experienced firsthand and witnessed first hand how these folks dealt with patients and their pains and needs and joys and fears and sadnesses and successes. It was truly inspiring to be in the care of these wonderful nursing and medical professionals. Thank you all so much we are grateful for everything you did for us and everything you do. Hats off to all of you!

Where to start writing this review....words cannot describe how horrible our experience was in February 2025. The surgeon was great but there seemed to be bad luck thrown our way repeatedly. Parking is so bad with every spot taken, leaving us to park across the street. Construction was under way so after my father had his hip surgery there was constant jackhammering directly above his room. This not only caused him and I both a headache but it kept him from sleeping and resting. The jackhammering stopped at 5pm resumed again at 8am stopped for an hour lunch and then we were lucky enough to have been released to go home. Once my father was in his room, the floor nurse neglected to remove certain cords and patches that were attached to him (I noticed this and brought it up to the next shift nurse which then discovered that there were other procedures that should have been done: the board should've had his info written, the ice blanket should have been started to name two). The only great thing during the night was when the night shift came on. I was sleeping in a chair and the new nurse noticed and found me a chair then turned into a bed. I was so grateful she offered that when every other staff member that came into the room saw me and said nothing. If you get lost don't dare asking a staff member for help with directions. I was ignored once and then found another saying "I don't know". Very unhelpful. They also sell your phone number! I noticed specifically after this visit I've been constantly spammed by callers. I feel that I have ptsd from staying in this hospital. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.
