The only reason for a one star is you cannot give zero stars!! Let start by saying that there is no where on line to fill in the paperwork, so there was a 13 page questionairre that you are handed once you get to your apt. Once we were called back to see Dr. Patel, he watched us maneuver my son's wheelchair into his office with a look of distain if we dared knock into his walls! After entering his office, I waited briefly for a "hello how can I hep you" but alas received no acknowledgment of myself, my son (his possible new patient) or his nurse accompanying him - aka ZERO bedside manner! Instead he said, "Why are you here?!!!" (Rude and disrespectful) I briefed him as to what we needed (new script for Epidiolex and establish a new neuro doctor) to which he asked why he wasn't on any of the typical seizure medication. He was not interested in hearing what meds work for my son (Epidiolex) and instead tried to push the usual Keppra seizure med which I informed him my son doesn't do well on and they don't work to stop his seizures anyway so why deal with all the usual side effects seizure meds give him. He ended up saying he doesn't believe in marijuana/CBD of any kind and will not prescribe it. Even though the front desk girls told me on two separate occasions that he does!! He didn't bother apologizing for the misunderstanding and our time wasting instead just said we are getting no where and will agree to disagree when it comes to how to treat my son!! Then silence. No goodbye. Nothing. I just got up and said to the nurse "well I guess that's our queue to leave then!!" Would NOT recommend seeing this doctor!! Does not think outside the box and found him very condescending and rude - quite the God complex!!

Dr. Patel personally sat with me and listened to all of my issues and concerns. Very kind, very thorough and very knowledgeable. Staff was also very friendly and helpful! I'm leaving feeling relieved and hopeful!

I received complete care and focused and brilliant diagnosis and follow up with further testing necessary. If I were the doctor I would do the same things.My primary who is great recommended and referred him to me. I recommend him and his team highly.

I spoke to 2 girls and then the doctor. I only just started going there. A prescription was called in on July 31st but not filled. The pharmacy reached out to the doctors office several times with no response. I ended up calling to try to figure what was wrong and left a message. I gave it 1.5 weeks with no returned call so I called back. I got to the bottom of it but not one person here ever apologized for the fact that I didn't receive a call back from 2 messages that I left. I ended up being blind transferred to the doctor and had to explain everything yet a third time. He was less than empathetic or apologetic. He actually was a bit arrogant and told me that they just don't have time to call back all of the patients. He said "we can't be switching your medication numerous times". I had only been there a total of 2 times and switched it 1 time due to my insurance not covering it. This isn't my fault yet he made it seem that it was. I get frequent and severe migraines and went to him for help and was treated like this. I am extremely disappointed and really taken aback by the way they treated a patient that is suffering. I don't understand why a doctor and his staff would treat someone that way and also why they refused to take any responsibility for said treatment. I'm not exactly sure how I will handle this but would have preferred a doctor with a staff who shows concern for a suffering person

Dr. Patel always takes care of me! I suffered from seizures for years and all the doctors I saw before told me I was making them up. He was the first one who listened and helped me. I've been seizure free since seeing him. Whenever I call for apts they get me in fast and are always helpful. The friendly staff makes you feel very comfortable there too! I'm glad I found WestCoast
