Dr. Patel performed well to resolve my vein issue. My problem is with the Office staff and the Office Manager. I was contacted by the office scheduler, Sandra, to tell me that Insurance had approved my procedure. I inquired on the call as to what my portion would be. While I wasn't in dire need of the procedure yet, due to the amount of the quote, I agreed to set the appointment and paid what I was quoted prior to the procedure. After the procedure, I received a bill with a balance due of 2500.00! I called Nikki in billing to discuss and she apprised me of another patient who was quoted in error for their procedure. I told Nikki this is not acceptable and that due to misinformation given by the scheduler, I need to discuss further. I was told by Nikki that the Office Manager, Deanne, would call me that afternoon, she did not. A week later, I received another bill from a collection agency While the balance due will cause a financial burden I had not intended on...I am more upset by the blatant disregard of the Office Manager for their patients concerns. I can't imagine this is how Dr. Patel wants his business to be run.
