Oviedo Medical Center

My visit was to have a Pacemaker inserted into my heart. My first contact with the team was prearrival phone visit with Jessice who took all my information and answered my questions. Upon arrival at the facility, I was met right at the main entrance where the admittance proceeded. I was then ushered into the prep area where a team of nurses prepped me for the surgery. Jessica was also a member of this team. I was visited by a rep from the pacemaker manufacturer, Medtronic, who provided information on the device and answered all of my questions. My Dr, his assistant and the Anesthesiology team also visited. When it was time to go to the operating room more people joined the team - one in particular I remember who was great I think the name was Shana - not positive of spelling. After a few minutes, darkness - nest thing I know I was in recovery and after a couple of hours was on my way home. All I can say is I had a great team, all caring and very good at their jobs. Facility is top notch, very clean and neat. Thank You to the entire team and the staff of this facility.

All I can say is WOW! If I could give six stars, I would. Not only is the hospital, clean and neat and organized. But the staff were phenomenal. Due to my severe asthma, I have been in and out of hospitals in Georgia and Florida for the last few years. And this hospital is by far the best I have been in. This time going to the hospital was a scary experience because for the first time I was having heart problems. But from the time my wife and I showed up, the staff comforted me and jumped right on the problem immediately. The doctors with me right away. They explained the processes and testing that I was going to be going through. Just overall very, very professional. It's very comforting to know that I have this quality of healthcare just minutes from my home. A big shout out to the staff, and I wish them all a very merry Christmas. They deserve it. P.S. This is how our hospital should be run!!!! Hats off to management too.

Excellent care. Organized and professional. The experience I had was very positive. Dr Bryant did a wonderful job and the nursing team had a great system in place. It went fast and I had no issues with recovery. I would highly recommend this hospital and staff. Excellent communication and the technology was up to date. I want to thank the staff that helped me and offered comfort during a very stressful time. Well done! You all have renewed my faith in the heath care system !

I visited Oviedo Medical Center for minor knee surgery. I have nothing to say but great things about the care and treatment I received. As a retired firefighter paramedic (34 years) I have seen a variety care at certain hospitals and how efficient they can or can not be. Oviedo Medical was excellent. I had a prompt registration process the morning of the surgery. The nurses (surgical prep) were excellent in their care. All the skills (IV, medication delivery etc) were done to the best standard of care practices. Everything was explained and the nurses ensured I understood everything prior to anesthesia. The surgery was about an 1 hour and the recovery team were just as great as the rest of the staff. I received a follow up call to ensure there were no issues. Thank you for the great care, DW

Dr. Aldape is by far the best doctor up at the Oviedo Medical Center. You ever had a doctor that treated you like a real human being instead of a number? Dr. Aldape is funny and one of the best in the business. Kristen was my nurse she was excellent! Super helpful, kind, sweet, and made me feel super comfortable. And we laughed, felt like I was talking to a friend Caitlin my CT tech was super chill. Very conversational. Made me feel relaxed. And we laughed for at least 20 min straight. Brianna the ultrasound girl I can't even say enough about her. Helped to make the experience that much better. Very thoughtful, considerate, gentle, sweet, and super helpful. I really don't like hospitals but I can honestly say, being here early this morning I felt cared for and I felt like they treated me like family and not another number. And that is service worth paying for. I hope they keep this shift of people together as this is the dream team. I hope they stay together for the betterment of the Oviedo community and patients.
