Florida Heart Group - Orlando

I've been coming here since 2005. In the beginning it was wonderful. Now it's a nightmare. Today when I was in the office they canceled my appointment before I got there. I drove over an hour and spent over $30 in gas to get here, and they canceled my appointment. This after I confirmed it yesterday. They will cancel your appointment often because of all the miss management. Also, today I was referred to as a customer. Not a patient but a customer. Except for a few staff members the rest of them are rude and inconsiderate and that includes the doctors. I've been seeing some of these doctors for a years and now they can't even bother to see you, call you, or even see you before a surgery! They give you the impression that they honestly don't care about you as a person or a human. The office is always pushing you off to a nurse practitioners if you're lucky. Allison is one of the schedulers and she is absolutely the worst person to deal with. If you're looking for a cardiologist I suggest you look somewhere else. This practice has gone downhill and they just don't care.

I was supposed to have a virtual appointment today and was never contacted prior to my appointment that my physician had an emergency and was running 4 hours late! The receptionist told me my appointment would be delayed by that amount of time. I waited all day and never received a call from my doctor, a staff member a PA, NO ONE. I recently had to go to the emergency room and had an emergency procedure. This was a post surgical appointment. I had many questions and concerns about how to care for myself in the days ahead as well as discuss new medications I was put on. It is a holiday weekend and now I must wait four days to speak to someone. This office dropped the ball and abandoned me. If I can give them ZERO stars I would!!!!

I never had a problem with the staff... canceling and re-scheduling appointments is easy, never had to wait too long to see the doctor and had only some issues trying to get authorization for refills once, but that's all. Dr. Fahey (my doctor) is fantastic. No complaints.

I like my cardiologist Dr Fahey, definitely 5 stars. However this review is for his medical assistants. My prescription for my meds was denied a few weeks ago, meds that I have been taking for years. So I had to call the office to get authorization. I did and was told I needed to come in, which is fine so I made an appointment for September, that was the earliest available. I asked them to authorize the prescription which they did, but they sent it to my local pharmacy which filled it for 15 days only. I called back and explained that it had to be send to RX Plus pharmacy for a 90 day supply. They did that then but only for 3 out of the 4 meds. So this saga is now going on for almost 3 weeks. It's just sad...

Doctors are nice but office staff is very hard to deal with. It's extremely hard to schedule or reschedule an appointment. No one answers the phone or return calls. Please office manager tell your staff to do their work and have them answer the phone and review the voice mail and return patients call
