Cardiovascular Institute of Orlando

We have been going to Cardiovascular Institute of Orlando for several years now. They are always incredibly kind, helpful and even in a last-minute need- they work us in as they are able. From Dr. Dara, Dr. Caines to their nurses and especially the front desk staff- everyone goes above and beyond to help their patients. We highly recommend this practice!

I have been trying to get ahold of this office for two weeks, with phone call attempts multiple times a day. I am unable to schedule a procedure with my gastroenterologist without the signed clearance form from this office that was sent to them WEEKS ago. What's worse is that my gastro's office has been attempting to contact them and left voicemails for weeks as well. It is completely unprofessional and unacceptable at this point. Truly unfortunate as my cardiologist (Dr. Caines) is wonderful, but the office itself needs some serious improvement. I see a review extremely similar to mine from 5 months ago, so it's disappointing that no changes have been made in that timeframe. A phone call back or simply answering the phone at all would be great. If you need to talk to someone at this office, prepare to wait a ridiculous amount of time.

Always pleased w/the professionalism and care of Dr. Dara and medical staff. Dr. Dara is very attentive and easy to talk to. I never feel rushed to ask my questions b/c she has to "move on to the next patient," as I've often experienced w/other health professionals--which is always disappointing and disheartening. Unlike other physicians, Dr. Dara makes you feel that your appointment time is just that! Your time!!! to discuss w/her whatever health issues and concerns you may have. I highly recommend her and her friendly staff.

They are not only incredibly professional but also warm and welcoming, making every visit a positive experience. Their helpfulness and attention to detail make a huge difference, ensuring that everything goes smoothly. If you're an older person with no insurance, they are not a valid option for your cardiac care. They do not allow self-pay. I was a patient for over 7 yrs and lost my job and insurance. Since I have gone a year without an appointment (job and insurance loss), they stopped my prescription refill. They won't allow me to self-pay for an appointment. Consequently, I can no longer get a refill of the life-saving medication I need and they do not seem to care. I used to be an advocate for them and have recommended them to others but I can no longer recommend them since they appear to not care about the patient - just the revenue from the insurance company. It appears that the Hippocratic Oath means nothing to them if there is no insurance money behind the patient. I wish I could give ZERO stars for their treatment of me. I also wonder if Dr. Suvarchala Dara (Medical Director and Cardiologist) is aware of what her staff is saying to her patients.
