Patient
I drove 40 minutes for my appointment. OK, I knew how far it was. I arrived early, checked in and paid my $50 copay. Sat for 30 minutes. I went to the counter. The woman says "oh, I have to drive 40 minutes to get here". I replied " you are paid to be here, I paid to be here", duh. They double and triple book these doctors. Another "patient mill". She then says "let me see if there's a room for you ". Why, so I can sit there and wait another 30 minutes. Here's a tip. Find out how long and give a realistic time frame. It's a cardiologist patient clinic. Exacerbating a patients condition by making them wait is ridiculous. BTW, this was my first appointment. I'm an Iraq/Afghanistan war veteran. If they called to apologize and assured me an on time visit I'd accept. They won't and could care less about my health issues. I Paid $50 to wait until I'd had enough. It'll be my last. They care about money, that's it.
