Dr. Salerno is caring, extremely attentive and competent. We have been his patients for a long time and he has always been accurate and precise. He affords me his personal attention in extreme matters and puts us at ease with his exceptional capabilities.

I am a new patient of Dr. Edward Salerno. As soon as he walked in the room I knew I was going to like him. He gave me a big smile and said don't be nervous. It was obvious that I was. I told him why I was there. He examined me. Explained the upcoming procedure . His staff was kind and professional.

My father was a patient of Dr Edward Salerno for about the what Oh, it's a review Kind of website are you last 4 months of his life. It was a terrible experience for my father and our family. First, Dr Salerno's at home visiting nurse was one of the rudest and impatient person I have ever met. Her notes for us about my dad's medications and dosages were confusing and difficult to follow. When I called her to clarify the drug dosages, she took no ownership for how confusing her written directions were and shouted at me on the phone. She blamed my dying father and my mother for their lack of understanding. My dad was 90 and my mother is in her late 80's and were under great stress. Patience and kindness were not shown by the nurse. She hung up on me. I then called the drs office to share the way she had talked to me and they said they were reassigning a new nurse to see my dad at his house. A new nurse never came. After my father's last operation by Dr Salerno, he never came to my dad's hospital room post op to talk to him or my mother to explain the results of the operation. My mom and dad never saw or heard from Dr Salerno again after the last surgery. My father passed away about 2 weeks later. You would have thought that Salerno or his office would have reached out to my mom by phone or mail to express his condolences. Nothing. My vet sends me a sympathy card when I've lost a pet , but a doctor can't send a family a card??? Disgraceful. It's been 3 months since father passed and I have had these thoughts on my mind all these months. My mother was upset by the treatment my dad received and the lack of caring. Patients are people with feelings and having a loved one in the final stages of life is frightening. It's also emotionally difficult for the family and they need doctors and nurses to guide them through the final stages with kindness, patience, and care.
