Pasteur Medical - Miami Gardens

My father has been at this clinic for over 12 years. Before it was Pasteur and it was horrible. As I was going to move him to another clinic, I was told not too because it was being taken over by Las Mercedes. They promised much better services, entertainment center for the elderly, more activities etc.... We are still waiting 2 yrs later. This is not to mention that my father's appointments are cancelled at the last minute without notification. They don't care about how this could affect the patient or the family member's who are caring for their elderly family member. The transportation is included but for people with dementia, they need extra care. Not just dropping them off at a medical facility to fend for themselves. This is why I always have to take time off front father's appointments. Frisking the elderly or having them empty their pockets as they leave is also a very distasteful way to treat senior citizens. I could go on and on and on. But I just don't want too as I have better things to do.

Had a very pleasant experience. Physician took the time to explain things thoroughly. Staff pleasant, appointment completed in a timely manner.

Las Mercedes aka Pasteur Medical Center is completely useless. Communication is horrible and you cannot coordinate anything without spending weeks on the phone. Their AI system is not intelligent and you can barely get a call back and when you do their systems are slow and you get put on hold. If you're trying to help your relative out good luck. They have no sense of urgency in anything they do. It's mostly from the main clinic, every day they do less to help the patient and when you walk in nobody is busy. I would leave a zero star but the review won't post.

Clique behavior. Condescending. Run-around. Quality control needs more monitoring and adjusting. Sensitivity training needed urgently from bottom up and vice versa. Vulnerable populations need to be better understood and respected. Members need viable and quality solutions to their needs not appeasing behavior with empty smiles and empty promises. The system in place may seem like an ideal system on the surface but the overall feel is of a piecework and hurry up and wait system AND if we like you, you will be better treated. Quality seems compromised and the vulnerable left to the rudeness of some. Pasteur is represented in the service it provides as an entity. Pasteur may be providing a needed service, but it is the member or Client that brings in the income for jobs and sustainability and deserves the best service possible and to be able to share any concerns without retribution. The employees too, need to be considered, trained and treated humanely as well, not overworked. If one is not happy, the other will be affected, but there has to be better training for client understanding, empathy, sensitivity. I write all this with disappointment but at the same time, hoping that Pasteur will do better, continue to strive to do better for the community it serves despite their cultural, age or socio-economical or educational background.

Stopped in for an emergency restroom visit. Lunch was being served and the women were having fun.
