Nemours Children's Health, Melbourne - Specialty Care

Went a few days ago to see the Ortho. Watched Toy story as we waited. Appt was at 3:30, we were called back well before that time. Saw the nurse then the wait for the Ortho was not long after that. He answered all our questions and showed us my daughter's x-rays which we had not seen (taken at the Nemours ER in Orlando). He explained everything with great detail. It was very interesting and definitely learned something new new. He explained to us why it was normal which cleared my concerns for my daughters injury. Definitely great, been there before to see the Gastro and same great experience.

Never again will I go back to this place or any newmours facility. It was awful and uncomfortable the moment my son and arrived. They left my son was in a full leg cast , imcomforable , no assitance and wasn't seen for over an hour and a half. The staff was rude and unhelpful. They didn't know or try accommodation or a way to assist my son. There was an assistant named Noah, who was obnoxious, rude and unhelpful, while speaking to a coworker, he stated, "I haven't been able to order it yet because everybody's bothering me." my son heard that and was just turned off by the whole place. Noah who seemed to be on the lazier side made me crawl on the floor, down the hall with my son's leg in hand instead of him assisting properly. That lovely unorthodox walk or duck crawl completely hurt my back. The facility was loud and when your in severe pain it was hard to cope. The doctor was loud unhelpful and just upset me and my son. This whole experience was a nightmare and a waste of my time and my son's time. the only good thing out of it was, he was temporarily able to give him something for pain which he appreciated. The kicker in the end was as I was leaving, we weren't sure where to go and needed some help. We asked Noah. Noah was seemed snotty about or confusion on where to began walking down the hallway with us. I expressed to him how we felt his lack of compassion or CARING was not ok. He became argumentative with me and went back-and-forth with words. I was disgusted. the office manager was right there and I looked at her and said, " Is this the way you're gonna conduct your office? Knowing Noah was out Of line.. She said she was gonna speak to him. I highly doubt she did but the mannerism in that office was ridiculous. It seems like a big giant circus and not a way I would expect a professional medical office should be conducting themselves.

My survey link expired but I wanted to take a minute to express my sincere appreciation for Fred...the superhero that put my daughters cast on her elbow...he was so personable and compassionate that I am so forever grateful for his kindness and tips on handling a wild toddler (and anxious mama! ) through this healing process! Thank you, Fred! You rock!!

The entire process, from check-in through check-out and everything in between was fantastic. Everything ran on time, everyone was pleasant and helpful and my child was treated wonderfully. I'm so thankful to have found this practice.

Fred was so amazing and patient with my four year old! All staff was kind and took great care of us!
