My husband goes to Dr Alvarado after having his heart attack. Dr Alvarado is a GREAT Dr he listens to everything and if he can offer any help he will advise what you need to do. I highly recommend him to anyone with heart issues.
About Dr. Francisco Alvarado, MD
Dr. Francisco Alvarado is a board-certified cardiologist at the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute in Longwood and Lake Mary. He specializes in advanced heart failure, echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests and myocarditis. Dr. Alvarado received bachelor's degrees in classics and microbiology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and earned his medical degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Dr. Alvarado completed his internal medicine residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa and his general cardiology and advanced heart failure fellowships at the University of Miami / JFK Hospital. He is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Alvarado is a very thorough and kind doctor, and I am very happy to have him as my cardiologist! As a younger patient it was definitely a worry of mine to have my health issues brushed off or not be fully heard, but there was none of that with Dr. Alvarado. He listened to me very closely, showed care and kindness throughout the entire conversation, and made sure everything he said was understood. I highly recommend!

This review is based on a first time visit. I believe in the first impressions you make are the most important. Well my last doctor referred Dr. Alvarado, at first I was kinda worried because my last doctor set the bar so high. Needless to say Dr. Alvarado did not disappoint me. He was extremely Courteous, Polite, And intentional. He explained what he was explaining to be sure I had a good understanding. Being that this was my first visit, I look forward to the follow-ups.
