Update::
My boy passed away!! They did amazing with my boy every step of the way and treated me with dignity an respect during the toughest time of my life. He was just a baby at 4.5!!!! Thank you again so much for all you did for my boy! He was so peaceful looking. They handled everything professionally and never once rushed me in any way.

My pet accidentally chewed a bottle of prescription medication and pet poison control recommended intensive and immediate treatment around the clock. The local veterinarian recommended Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists. It was the best decision ever. From the receptionists, technicians and doctors everyone was wonderful, reassuring and professional. We knew when we handed her over that she was in great hands. After a full night and day of emotions and prayers we are finally home. She is now resting comfortably. Thank you TBVS for the compassion you showed Toula and her family. It was appreciated!

This is Lunar nine years after being attacked by a dog and undergoing surgery on his leg. At the time, he had a cast on for weeks and was healing. Yet almost immediately, you suggested his leg should be amputated.
I remember asking if we could wait and see whether he could use it again. Thankfully, I followed my instincts because nine years later, he's doing great and living a full life.
It makes me wonder how many amputations may have been recommended too quickly. As pet owners, we love our animals deeply and would do anything for them. I was very disappointed in how rushed that recommendation felt, especially when time proved that Lunar didn't need to lose his leg.

Highly Recommend! Dr. Oakes came highly recommended. I took my 1.5 year old dog to him for her Patella. I initially was put on a cancellation list since he only does consultations on Tuesdays. I was sen promptly and the technician was very nice. Dr. Oakes was very knowledgable, professional and kind. At my choice, he was able to do the procedure two days later. He called me as soon as he was done with the surgery and updated me on the details. My dog was kept overnight for monitoring and the technician texted me a picture and a short update note to alleviate my anxiety. The following morning I received her post operative instructions asking me to review them prior to picking her up. They were very thorough however the technician still went over them to ensure that I understood them. This procedure is a six week recovery! I am confident that this will address her lameness and am grateful to the team for taking care of my baby!
